“Ye Chu! Go up and bite him!” The Golden Doll stared triumphantly at the young man, only to be kicked fiercely by Ye Chu. Ye Chu glared at the Golden Doll. That bastard was insulting him indirectly. No matter how he listened to it, the phrase sounded exactly like an order to a household dog to attack.
“Why do you not go and root him like a pig yourself?” Ye Chu retorted, looking down on the Golden Doll.
Having been cursed at, the Golden Doll’s narrowed eyes instantly widened. Remembering something, he chuckled and said, “He dare not kill you. You can spit on him, bite him, or even fart him to death. It makes no difference.”
“Do you take me for a fool like you?” Ye Chu spat. He was hardly some extraordinary figure. Why on earth would the young man hesitate to kill him?
Seeing Ye Chu’s disbelief, the Golden Doll pointed at the young man. “If you doubt me, ask this filth eating worm yourself whether he dares to kill you.”
Ye Chu turned his gaze to the young man. Cold light shot from his eyes as he looked at Ye Chu with a deeply complex expression. His face was grim, yet, just as the Golden Doll claimed, he truly did not dare to act.
This scene left Ye Chu bewildered, his mind brimming with doubt. He could not help but look at the Golden Doll. “Hehe! If he wishes to stop eating filth in the future, you are his only hope. How could he bear to kill you? Am I right, filth eating worm?”
“Golden Doll! Shut your foul mouth at once!” The young man roared, his imposing aura trembling continuously.
“What? Are you afraid of this God of Wealth speaking the truth? You merely wish to change your destiny of eating filth. Nobody will mock you for that!” The Golden Doll laughed heartily, finding Ye Chu much more pleasing to look at now.
The people below glanced at one another in confusion. Their gazes fell upon the young man, wondering if he truly had to eat filth his entire life. How could a figure of such stature endure such a fate?
Yet, listening to the Golden Doll, it sounded entirely genuine. Moreover, it seemed only the youth standing before them could change it.
“What exactly is going on?” Ye Chu stared at the Golden Doll, his mind brimming with questions. Compared to the Golden Doll and his circle, he was far too ordinary. If not for his close ties to the Golden Doll, a figure like him would not even spare Ye Chu a glance. Yet now, the Golden Doll claimed the opponent dared not kill him.
The Golden Doll chuckled. “The Golden Insect Clan eats filth throughout their lives. This cannot be changed unless someone alters the rules! And only one person can alter the rules. That is the Saint of Love. Back when the Saint of Love ascended to the supreme realm, the laws of heaven and earth were thrown into chaos and covered in sorrow. During that era, the Golden Insect Clan could survive without eating filth. Sadly, the Saint of Love severed himself from heaven and earth, so they returned to eating filth.”
The Golden Doll seemed particularly thrilled when speaking of eating filth. He stared at the young man with a smug expression. The young man’s face, however, darkened to its limit. His fists clenched tightly, veins bulging. This was his family’s disgrace, yet the Golden Doll mocked him repeatedly. If he possessed the means to kill the Golden Doll right now, he would tear him to pieces!
“Did the Saint of Love not already sever himself from the world? What does that have to do with me? Even as his disciple, I cannot possibly restore the era of the Saint of Love!” Ye Chu stared at the Golden Doll, noticing the young man’s ashen face. He figured the Golden Doll had thoroughly offended his opponent. If someone kept reopening his own wounds, he would probably want to skin and tendon them alive.
The Golden Doll completely ignored the young man’s furious glare and laughed loudly. “Naturally, the Saint of Love cannot return! But rumour has it that the Saint of Love left behind a tremendous secret. Once that secret is unlocked, the Saint’s path and laws will emerge, changing the destiny of the filth eating clan. And the key to unlocking it is you. Only someone who possesses the Supreme Intent can open it. You could say you are their hope. Do you think they would bear to kill you? Though I must admit this hope is rather slim. Relying on a lad like you, they will probably end up eating filth anyway!”
“…” Ye Chu felt a sudden urge to step away and let the Fairy Hairpin directly kill the Golden Doll.
However, Ye Chu’s confusion only deepened. This was not the first time he had heard such claims. He had heard it at Fox Mountain and from the Tan family as well. They all said he harboured a great secret tied to the Supreme Intent.
But Ye Chu had no idea. What exactly was the secret of the Supreme Intent?

I do not wish to see the only person from the Heartless Peak who dared to touch that sword perish.”
“You need not worry about that!” The Golden Doll said with a smile. “Given the warnings from Fox Mountain and the Heavenly Feather family, this God of Wealth is rather curious to see who would dare to plot against Ye Chu so easily. If the older generation moves against him, let us hope he can withstand the Old Madman. As for the younger generation, if Ye Chu can be outmanoeuvred by them, then let him die. Keeping him alive would be pointless anyway.”
“…” Ye Chu repeatedly reminded himself to endure, not to squabble with the Golden Doll, since he could not defeat him right now.
“Then see if you have the skill to stay behind him forever!” The Golden Doll snorted angrily. “I shall take your life another day. I will spare you for now!”
The young man prepared to leave with his followers, but the Golden Doll burst into loud laughter. “Two people from our Heartless Peak are here. If you leave without leaving some compensation, you are truly underestimating us.”
The Golden Doll dragged Ye Chu forward, his figure flashing until he landed before the young man. “Ye Chu! Go bite him!”
This single sentence made Ye Chu’s face turn green with rage. Glaring at the Fairy Hairpin, which radiated peerless brilliance, he shot a furious look at the Golden Doll. “Believe it or not, I will leave right now!”
The Golden Doll chuckled. “If you go and bite him, I shall gift you a grand present!”
“This young master is a man of noble character and integrity. How could I abandon my dignity for a mere gift!” Ye Chu glared at the Golden Doll and tried to shake him off to leave.
The Golden Doll paid no mind to Ye Chu’s display, merely stating calmly, “If you go and bite him, the Fairy Hairpin will be yours.”
“Do you truly mean that!” Ye Chu’s face instantly broke into a brilliant smile. He turned to the Golden Doll and asked, “How should I bite him?”
“Did you not claim to have dignity?” The Golden Doll looked at Ye Chu with disdain.
Ye Chu paid absolutely no attention to the disdain. He shook his head and smiled. “What is dignity? Can it be eaten? How much is it per jin? To me, it is nothing more than a passing cloud.”
“You have completely disgraced the face of the Heartless Peak!” The Golden Doll gazed at Ye Chu with contempt. Ye Chu simply spat. The Heartless Peak still having face to lose? The Golden Doll had already packed that up and sold it long ago.
