PDE Chapter 485

Nuoran’s proposal quickly received everyone’s agreement. Therefore, on the following day, the group jointly issued a proclamation to the city, stating that the upcoming city competition would be moved to the ancient ruins for the final battle.

Although some cultivators in the city were unwilling, the combined efforts of Nuoran, Guxing, and Yujin quickly dissolved any dissent.

Nuoran invited Ye Chu to stay as a guest, and Ye Chu did not decline, settling directly into her private courtyard. Naturally, whenever the woman repeatedly probed into his background, Ye Chu would evade the question, brushing off Nuoran with vague excuses and laughter.

In the end, Nuoran could only give up in helpless resignation, utterly at a loss with him. This fellow was too skilled at bluffing. Ask him about his origins, and he would ramble about ancient apes, claiming that humans evolved from them and that millions of years ago they might have all belonged to the same family. It left her completely dizzy!

Eventually, Nuoran found herself so thoroughly duped that she nearly exposed her own secrets. This made her keep a strict distance from Ye Chu, afraid to get too close. When he spun his tales, it was impossible to tell what was true and what was false.

After a few days passed like this, a vast procession of cultivators from the city set out for the ruins. They did not believe they could claim the championship title, but they certainly had their eyes on the treasures within the site.

Ye Chu and his group also headed to the ruins, accompanied by Nuoran.

Nuoran gazed at Ye Chu with her soft, spring-like eyes. During their days together, the most prominent traits she saw in him were laziness and an unrestrained, bohemian nature. Whenever he had free time, he would constantly tease her two maids.

Had she not witnessed Ye Chu in action, Nuoran would have simply dismissed him as a lewd and idle young master. Yet such a man carried an air of mystery, which only deepened Nuoran’s astonishment.

“Are you really not going to tell Nuoran about your background, Young Master Ye Chu?” Nuoran looked at him charmingly, her red lips enticing and her smile captivating. Standing there with her voluptuous figure, her skin was so fair and smooth it seemed it could drip water. Her curves drew the eyes of many passers-by.

“Did I not already tell you, Miss Nuoran? I come from a noble family in a minor kingdom!” Ye Chu eyed her full breasts, his gaze following the sway of her figure.

“Bah!” Nuoran spat lightly, completely ignoring his nonsense.

“Very well! I admit I deceived you, Miss Nuoran! In truth, I hail from an ancient family with a lineage spanning a hundred thousand years, and I am a direct descendant of the current generation. However, my elders warned me before I left not to reveal my family to outsiders, so…” Ye Chu said, “Surely you would not think I am still lying to you?”

“Naturally not!” Nuoran immediately broke into a smile. “However, if it is inconvenient for you to say, then let it be. But since you are a disciple of an ancient family, why have you come to the Path of Prodigies? This path is not entirely safe.”

Ye Chu felt disdain in his heart. He thought that this era was no different from his past life. Everyone believed tall tales, but treated the truth as if it were a lie. No wonder social morals were deteriorating. Ye Chu sighed, thinking it was not that he had ceased to be honest and simple, but rather that this world had robbed him of the chance to be a good man.

“I heard there are particularly many beauties on this path, so I wanted to come and see! Now that I am here, I find the reputation well deserved. With a beauty like you, Miss Nuoran, this trip is already worthwhile.” Ye Chu looked at Nuoran with a smile, a wicked charm playing on his lips as he examined her curvaceous and enchanting figure. “I just wonder if Miss Nuoran would be interested in learning a few new positions with me?”

Although Nuoran had seen grand occasions, hearing Ye Chu’s lewd remarks still made her cheeks burn. After spending several days with him, how could she not know what he meant by learning new positions? To think she had foolishly asked him how exactly he intended to broaden her knowledge!

Recalling the ninety-nine forms and eighty-one positions she had once explained to him, Nuoran felt her face grow terribly hot.

“Well, please make yourself at home, Young Master Ye Chu! I have matters to attend to and must take my leave!” Nuoran fled in embarrassment. Her swaying figure drew appreciative clicks of the tongue from Ye Chu, who thought to himself that her physique was truly excellent.

“Scared her off again with your lewd teasing?” Ye Jingyun witnessed the scene and turned to Ye Chu with a faint smile. “Although I look down on you, I must admit I quite admire your shameless persistence.”

Ye Chu was long accustomed to Ye Jingyun’s sarcasm. Without his expression changing in the slightest, he replied, “Do you think every woman shares your realisation and would be satisfied with substituting a cucumber? A normal woman would actually be quite pleased when teased like that!”

Ye Jingyun said nothing. She simply launched a kick straight at Ye Chu, her long leg sweeping out in a graceful and sensual arc.

Ye Chu reached out and caught it, gently running his hand along Ye Jingyun’s long leg. He thought to himself that her legs felt remarkably smooth. “Miss Ye Jing! Next time you wish to strike me, could you please refrain from only using flying kicks? Using the same move every day. Are you not bored of it? I certainly am!”

“Let go!” Ye Jingyun snapped through gritted teeth, seeing Ye Chu holding her leg and sliding his fingers along it.

Ye Chu casually released her leg and shrugged. “As if I would want to hold your smelly foot! Yang Hui, hand me that red fruit you are holding. Let me take a bite!”

Watching Ye Jingyun fuming beside them, Yang Hui covered her mouth and chuckled silently!

The ruins were not close to the city. It took a full two hours for the group to finally reach the designated location.

“This is the place!” Nuoran pointed ahead and called out to Guxing, Yujin, and the rest. “We have scouted the ruins ahead, but could not determine their age. However, the aura and the seal have almost completely dissipated. If we join forces, we should be able to break through it.”

Ye Chu looked forward. The area ahead was shrouded in a hazy mist, allowing only a faint glimpse of a palace, though the details remained unclear! Some tried to force their way inside, but were blocked by the seal, unable to enter!

“Shall we all strike together to break the seal? This barrier is not particularly strong! With our combined strength, it should be enough to shatter it!” Nuoran shouted.

The crowd agreed. Nuoran struck first, swinging her arm to unleash a sweeping gale. It carried terrifying power as it struck the seal. Nuoran’s strength was no joke. The explosive force she released struck like a clap of thunder, causing ripples to spread across the barrier.

Following Nuoran’s lead, the others showed no weakness either. Various energies shot forth, crashing directly against the seal barrier!

Ye Chu watched the scene, observing the explosions blooming on the barrier like fireworks. His gaze swept over the group. He had to admit this was indeed the Path of Prodigies. There were many powerful cultivators, and every single one of them was remarkably young.

Ye Chu saw Guxing attack and Yujin attack. The explosive power from these two was exceptionally violent, enough to make one’s heart palpitate. Yet even so, there were still several other cultivators capable of matching them.

“No wonder they say that those who can dominate this path have the potential to challenge the Supreme Venerable position.” Ye Jingyun muttered nearby.
