TWSBHSW Chapter 70

Outside the Vanke Dream City residential area, a nine man martial artist squad was slowly advancing. Among this group, members of the Tiger Fang Squad were clearly present.

“Hm? That is the sound of a snake, and a very powerful one,” said an elderly man with grey white hair in the group.

Inside the ruined and desolate Vanke Dream City residential area, loud rumbling sounds echoed.

Crack.

A snake tail as thick as a man’s waist lashed out like lightning toward two Indian martial artists using giant curved sabres. The two Indian martial artists leapt five to six metres into the air in an instant and grabbed onto the window railings of a nearby residential building. The snake tail slammed heavily into a large tree nearby. At a height of five or six metres, the trunk snapped with a loud crack and the tree crashed down.

“Haha, trying to kill me?” Luo Feng was sprinting rapidly while holding a shield in one hand.

The two heads of the dual headed black line snake were crazily chasing after Luo Feng.

Swish, swish.

Luo Feng flicked his hand and released two throwing knives. On the surface it looked like he threw them with his hand, but in reality the moment they were released, they were fully controlled by his spiritual force, causing their speed to surge to an astonishing level. To the naked eye, they appeared as two blurred streaks of cold light covering the dual headed black line snake.

Ssssss.

The snake hissed and dodged.

“Change.”

Luo Feng’s gaze turned cold.

The two throwing knives subtly changed direction. The adjustment was small, but because the knives were faster than bullets, ordinary people could not clearly see the shift.

Puchi. Chi.

One throwing knife barely missed the left head, but the other struck it directly. From the start of the battle, Luo Feng had already thrown six knives, all targeting the left head. At this moment, the left head was already covered in blood and heavily injured.

Whoosh.

Luo Feng moved like a swallow, his speed terrifyingly fast.

“Good.”

The Indian team leader holding a long alloy staff shouted excitedly. Taking advantage of the snake chasing Luo Feng, he attacked fiercely like a man kicking a fallen enemy, striking repeatedly at the snake’s right head. The snake did not dare to take the hits directly and could only dodge desperately.

Although the staff looked less lethal than a spear, its concentrated force at the tip made its impact extremely powerful.

“Indians, keep it up,” Gao Feng shouted.

The other two Indian martial artists with giant curved sabres and shields, together with Gao Feng, attacked the snake’s body in close combat. They were trying to prevent the snake from attacking Luo Feng or the Indian leader from the side, and also attempting to strike its vital point.

The vital point of a snake is the seven inch mark, although this is a general term, the real target is the heart and abdomen area.

The snake was powerful and did not allow them to strike its vital point easily. Its tail whipped and coiled repeatedly, trying to suppress Gao Feng and the others.

Swish.

Luo Feng’s shield was controlled by spiritual force. He pushed off the ground and shot toward Gao Feng’s position. As he approached, he said quietly, “Captain, during close combat, use your throwing hammer. Smash the left head of the snake for me.”

“Got it,” Gao Feng replied immediately.

Luo Feng moved unpredictably on the battlefield, never engaging in close combat, always relying on his speed to circle the area.

The Indian leader suddenly let out a low roar. His face flushed red as his blood surged to its limit. In that moment, he looked like a Buddhist arhat. The speed of his staff suddenly increased dramatically as he charged forward like a madman, striking out dozens of afterimages in an instant.

Bang. Bang.

Two of those strikes hit the right head of the snake heavily. The huge right head staggered and seemed dazed, crashing down onto the ground.

The dual headed black line snake let out a terrifying hiss. Its left head roared as its long body suddenly coiled and launched itself upward, trying to escape.

“Quick,” the bald Indian leader shouted urgently.

Swish.

Gao Feng, who had been close to the snake, roared, “Die.”

He swung his heavy hammer with all his strength. The hammer flew like a cannonball toward the left head of the snake. The snake dodged, but Luo Feng’s eyes flashed and his spiritual force surged into the hammer, increasing its speed instantly.

Boom.

The hammer missed the head but struck the neck area.

With Gao Feng’s full strength combined with Luo Feng’s spiritual force amplification, the impact was terrifying. The left head of the snake went dizzy and fell back to the ground.

At that moment, as it tried to regain consciousness, Luo Feng smiled slightly.

Puchi.

A black throwing knife shot up from the ground like a bolt of lightning, piercing through a gap in the left head and drilling straight into its brain.

The left head never rose again.

Pang.

The Indian leader thrust his alloy staff like lightning into the eye of the right head, piercing through it and killing the snake completely. The massive body still twitched and convulsed for a while before finally going still.

“Haha,” the Indian leader laughed loudly.

“Nice,” Gao Feng said happily as he picked up his hammer, while Luo Feng calmly retrieved his throwing knives.

From start to finish, the Indians probably never realised Luo Feng was using spiritual force to control his weapons. Especially the final strike, when the snake’s head was already on the ground, Luo Feng made his throwing knife emerge from the soil and kill it instantly.

“Friend,” the bald Indian leader greeted with a smile. “Good.”

“You are not bad either,” Luo Feng replied with a smile.

“You take half, we take half,” the Indian leader said.

Luo Feng pointed at the left head and smiled slightly. “Half the snake scales too.”

Both sides could sense each other’s strength, and since both teams likely had sniper support watching from hidden positions, the atmosphere remained relatively calm. The Fire Hammer Squad began dissecting the left head.

The Indians dissected the right head.

“Luo Feng, that last strike was ruthless,” Gao Feng said softly.

Luo Feng smiled and pulled out his black throwing knife from the split head. That final strike had been what killed it.

Suddenly.

“Hm?”

Luo Feng and Gao Feng turned sharply. The Indian team also changed expression and looked over.

Not far away, nine martial artists were approaching. Most were of Asian descent. The moment they saw the enormous snake corpse, they immediately judged its value at over a billion. Greed appeared in many of their eyes.

“Please move away,” the Indian leader said in awkward Mandarin.

“I did not expect to meet the Tiger Fang Squad here again. You really are persistent,” Gao Feng said coldly.

Luo Feng remained silent. Among the nine, six were from the Tiger Fang Squad, along with an elderly man, a tall white man, and a mixed race young man.

“Haha, Gao Feng, you actually teamed up with Indians. Impressive that you killed this dual headed black line snake,” the Tiger Fang captain sneered. “If you are sensible, leave now. Our Thunder Squad will spare your lives. Otherwise, do not blame us. This Mr Liu is our captain, and Mr Karon is our vice captain.”

The elderly man was Mr Liu, and the white man was Karon.

Luo Feng’s eyes turned cold.

“I am new to City 003. This prey belongs to me. You can leave,” the mixed race young man said with a smile.

The elderly man and white man stood on either side of him, observing the group.

“Anyone who tries to take my prey dies,” the Indian leader said in a low voice, his two sabre wielding companions full of killing intent.

Gao Feng held his heavy hammer, eyes fierce.

“Come and try then,” Luo Feng said coldly while standing on the snake’s head. “We were able to kill this dual headed black line snake. As for you lot, my teammate’s sniper rifle is already aiming at you.”

“Our sniper rifles are aiming at you too,” one of the Indian martial artists replied coldly.

Both sides stood by the snake corpse, facing off coldly.

“Sniper rifles?”

Several of the nine men looked around at the ruined buildings. They could not see anyone, and that uncertainty made them more fearful. They knew the Fire Hammer Squad had a sniper, Chen Gu, and the Indians also had their own firearms expert.

A heavy sniper rifle could threaten beast soldier level monsters, but human skin was weaker than monster armour. A mid level warlord could be seriously injured or killed by a shot. However, for high level warlords the threat was much lower, and for war gods, sniper rifles posed almost no threat at all.
