TWSBHSW Chapter 257

While Luo Feng was deep beneath the Pacific Ocean receiving and organising the enormous inheritance memories, human society on Earth was rapidly undergoing a series of changes.

In the battle against the Devouring Beast, even the Golden Horned Beast had nearly been killed, terrifying monsters such as the Thunder Dragon Emperor and forcing them to retreat. Later, after the Golden Horned Beast awakened, it did not order them to attack human society again. Naturally, the Thunder Dragon Emperor and the countless sea monsters would not attack humans of their own accord.

Their intelligence was very high.

Even the powerful Devouring Beast had nearly perished. Who among them would dare to continue attacking?

Fundamentally, the nations of Earth had not suffered severe losses during this battle. The greatest loss was the death of eight heroes.

Hong, Thunder God, Mo Henderson, East, Tripathi Singh, Jia Yi, Sokolov, and Luo Feng were regarded as the eight greatest figures in human society.

With six dead and Hong and Thunder God unconscious, showing no brainwave activity, the two massive organisations, the Extreme Dojo and the Thunderbolt Dojo, immediately attracted countless greedy eyes.

These two organisations were each slightly more powerful than any of the five major nations.

When Hong and Thunder God were present, they could suppress everyone.

But now…

Undercurrents immediately began to surge.

Hongning Base City.

Inside the giant spaceship headquarters, the three personal guards and five inspectors gathered together.

“Now that the virtual space has collapsed, planetary level fighters and war gods around the world are forming their own groups. Without the leadership of the two Dojo Masters, the loose organisation known as the War God Palace has already fallen apart. What should we do now?” the black man in white robes asked anxiously.

“All the war gods still possess consciousness sensing helmets,” said the masked Enchantress anxiously. “Deep down, they still wish to enter the War God Palace. But now that the Dojo Master is unconscious, the intelligent system has automatically shut down the virtual space. No one can enter the War God Palace anymore. The most urgent task right now is to rebuild the virtual space immediately.”

It was similar to Luo Feng’s situation.

If Luo Feng died, Babata would never devote itself to serving humanity wholeheartedly.

Likewise, with Hong trapped in a life or death slumber, the intelligent system that obeyed only Hong’s commands would not waste energy maintaining the existence of the War God Palace.

Once the War God Palace, the bond connecting planetary level fighters and war gods, disappeared…

The global situation became even more chaotic.

In terms of strength, among the eight leaders of the Extreme Dojo, there were still several people in the world stronger than them. For those eight to fully control the Extreme Dojo and preserve its former prestige was extremely difficult.

And the greatest concern was this…

If the eight of them failed to remain united, the situation would become even worse.

Yangzhou City, Mingyue Residential District.

Inside the reception room on the first floor of Luo Feng’s home.

Luo Hua sat facing a blond man.

“Mr Luo Hua,” the blond man said with a sigh, “I was a good friend of your brother. Honestly, it is deeply regrettable. I respected him greatly. Countless people across every nation respected and admired him as well. But… humanity’s dangers have not disappeared. We do not know when the sea monsters may attack again.”

Luo Hua nodded slightly.

“Therefore, effective utilisation of resources is extremely important.” The blond man looked at Luo Hua. “I hope to purchase certain items from you.”

“Oh? What items?” Luo Hua maintained his smile.

As the head of an investment company, Luo Hua had become far more mature than before.

“Mu Ya Crystals, the silver humanoids, and similar items.” The blond man spoke seriously. “The HR Alliance is naturally willing to offer a sufficiently high price.”

As he spoke, he took out a richly illustrated book.

“This contains many rare items owned by the HR Alliance, along with company shares, real estate holdings, territories and more. The prices are absolutely the lowest available.”

“Mr Luo Hua, you could easily become the economic ruler of an entire region,” the blond man said with a smile.

Luo Hua accepted the book and casually flipped through it.

The temptation was indeed enormous.

Before heading to the Pacific Ocean with the other five heroes, Luo Feng had already prepared a future path for his family.

Luo Hua only needed to exchange a small portion of those resources to control the economic lifelines of an entire region.

The HR Alliance was practically handing over a large part of its foundations.

“Five days ago, the leaders of my country also visited my home with quite generous offers,” Luo Hua said while looking at the blond man.

“And just before you arrived, I received a call from a mercenary organisation.”

Luo Hua shook his head slightly.

“However, Councillor Vino, let me make this clear. I won’t sell. Apart from a small amount sold to our own country, I won’t sell to any organisation.”

The blond man’s expression changed.

He was a planetary level expert. For him to negotiate personally was already a great show of respect.

The main reason was Luo Feng’s immense influence.

If he tried anything by force, public opinion around the world would tear him apart.

After surviving this catastrophe, humanity had practically deified the eight heroes.

They had been elevated to legendary status.

To nations, dead heroes posed no threat.

So there was no harm in praising them endlessly.

As for Hong and Thunder God, they had already stood at the pinnacle of the world.

“Mr Luo Hua, you need to remain calm,” Vino said in a low voice. “Your brother’s reputation can protect you, but… public enthusiasm eventually fades.”

No matter how much people feared public opinion, a child carrying a chest of gold through the streets would eventually be robbed.

“Thank you for your concern.”

Luo Hua smiled.

“Let me introduce someone. Number Three.”

Whoosh!

A black shadow suddenly appeared in the reception room, startling Councillor Vino.

What appeared was a tall black metal robot.

“This robot was left behind by my brother to protect our family. It came from Ancient Civilisation Ruin Number 12.” Luo Hua looked at Vino. “The Luo family does not require so called public opinion for protection. We possess our own strength. I know many ambitious people are emerging around the world, but the Luo family has no interest in getting involved.”

“My brother told me before he left.”

Luo Hua smiled slightly.

“Anyone who dares touch the Luo family will be wiped out.”

Councillor Vino’s expression changed.

“And one more thing.” Luo Hua continued. “Even my brother himself was no match for this robot.”

That was the truth.

The robot was constructed from Urite metal.

Even Luo Feng could not damage it with fragments of Scarlet Mixed Copper Essence.

One such robot had previously been destroyed only because the Golden Horned Beast desperately rammed it with its horn, damaging its internal control system.

No human on Earth could achieve that feat.

In other words, even if Hong, Luo Feng and Thunder God were all alive, they still would not know how to deal with such an indestructible metal monster.

Watching the departing figure of the councillor, Luo Hua stood by the window with narrowed eyes.

“Hmph. My brother is gone. They’re all like wolves, coveting what he left behind. That’s right, he left sixty Mu Ya Crystals alone. But you all think you can get your hands on them? Hmph. The world is chaotic right now. If someone goes too far, I’ll have to make an example of them.”

In a distant region of space far from Earth.

The silent starry sky existed eternally.

Suddenly…

Space rippled like water.

A silver grey saucer shaped spacecraft appeared out of nowhere.

The rippling distortions vanished, leaving the spacecraft floating quietly in space.

“Captain, Captain, we escaped. We escaped!”

“Haha, we escaped! Hahaha!”

Several humans inside the ship shouted excitedly in one of the many languages spoken by humanity throughout the universe.

Inside the control room.

Eight crew members were filled with excitement.

Standing before the control console was a handsome middle aged man about 1.9 metres tall, dressed in a silver grey combat suit. His ears were slightly pointed, and his eyes glowed faintly red.

He was the captain of the adventure vessel.

“I never expected there to be a wormhole here.”

A strange smile appeared on the captain’s face.

“After our B grade energy crystals were exhausted, we could no longer perform interstellar travel. While fleeing for our lives, we entered an asteroid field and accidentally stumbled into a natural wormhole. Hahaha. That wormhole has carried us who knows how many light years away. Unless those bastards somehow enter the exact same region of the asteroid field, they’ll never catch us.”

“Atuka,” the captain called.

“Captain.”

The image of a small child appeared on the control screen.

“Quickly record the coordinates of that wormhole. It doesn’t exist on our star charts. Clearly, even the entire Black Dragon Mountain Empire is unaware of it.” The captain’s excitement grew. “Then determine our current position and notify the family immediately.”

“Yes.”

The child on the screen shouted loudly.

Then it suddenly screamed.

“Captain, this is the Void Region of the Milky Way!”

“What?” The captain was shocked.

“The Void Region. A place whose coordinates cannot be determined through interstellar travel. A region nobody can enter.” The intelligent system child shouted repeatedly.

“Hahaha! Hahaha! We’ve struck gold. We’ve struck gold this time.”

The captain was beside himself with excitement.

“Set off. We’re moving.”

Long ago, this region had originally belonged to the Silver Blue Empire.

However, after being occupied by an incomprehensibly powerful expert, that individual entered the Dark Universe and concealed the spatial coordinates of the entire star region.

No one could reach it.

More than thirty thousand years ago, rumours spread that the powerful expert had died, leaving the Void Region ownerless.

Yet neither the Silver Blue Empire nor the mighty Black Dragon Mountain Empire could find a way into the region.

Who could have imagined…

That he would discover a new wormhole leading directly into it.

Earth, deep beneath the Pacific Ocean.

“I never expected the three innate abilities to be like this.”

“I can go back now. I can see Xu Xin. I can see my future child when they’re born.”

Luo Feng was overwhelmed with excitement.

Roar!

The pitch black Golden Horned Beast raised its head and released a low roar.

The sound spread through the ocean like a shockwave, striking nearby sea monsters and causing many of them to explode instantly.

“Luo Feng, based on your innate abilities, I’ve already determined your cultivation path,” Babata said. “You should cultivate the special secret technique ‘Deity of Heaven and Earth’ and the ordinary secret technique ‘Absolute Space’. Combined with your innate abilities, these two techniques will make you extraordinarily powerful.”
