Although acquiring three metal robots was a significant gain, Luo Feng felt almost no joy.
His mind was focused on only one thing.
Finding a weapon powerful enough to kill the Golden Horned Beast.
The fate of all humanity on Earth depended on it.
Creak…
With only a little force, Luo Feng pushed open the silver door.
Since the spacecraft had sunk, this door had never been opened again.
The instant Luo Feng opened it, a faint exchange of air occurred between the command room and the outside.
A gentle breeze naturally swept through the spacious and luxurious command room.
The room was brightly lit.
Seated in the chair at the centre was a military officer, with three guards in black uniforms standing behind him.
Seeing people inside the command room startled Luo Feng slightly.
Whoosh!
The gentle breeze passed through.
The officer sitting in the chair crumbled like dust.
With a rustling sound, both he and his military uniform instantly turned into powder.
His entire body collapsed into a pile of fine dust that poured from the chair onto the floor.
Behind him, the three uniformed guards were brushed by the breeze.
Their black uniforms trembled slightly before shattering into countless fragments that fell to the ground, leaving only a few scraps of cloth hanging from their bodies.
At the same time, their skin was exposed.
One of them was even a woman.
Luo Feng could clearly see her half naked form.
“Th, this…”
“Babata, didn’t you say this spacecraft has been submerged for over eight hundred thousand years? What’s going on with these three?” Luo Feng’s spirit force detected no life aura from them, so they were obviously dead.
Yet they had not decayed.
Could they actually be Immortal beings?
Impossible.
“Hehe, the officer sitting there was indeed an important figure. But those three guards aren’t humans. They’re a special product known as Flowing Silver Guards,” Babata said in amazement. “The primary material used to make them is Flowing Silver, a metal far more valuable than Black Yttrium. They also contain intelligent systems. Normally they behave exactly like real people. They can speak, perform tasks, and much more.”
“Moreover, because their bodies are made of Flowing Silver, they’re fluid like. Even if a powerful expert punches them directly, they can easily disperse the impact.”
“So they’re exceptional bodyguards.”
“If someone attempts an assassination, they can use their own bodies as shields.”
“Their offensive power isn’t particularly impressive, but once they latch onto someone, even a Universe level expert would need some time to break free. They’re the finest bodyguards available,” Babata explained. “However, Flowing Silver Guards differ from robots. First, they obey only their owner. Second, they require energy to maintain normal operation. To them, energy is equivalent to life.”
“After more than eight hundred thousand years, their energy reserves have long since been exhausted. Even if some energy remained, the spacecraft’s intelligent system still couldn’t command them.”
Luo Feng nodded slightly.
He looked towards the control console.
On the display screen appeared the image of a woman with green hair, staring directly at Luo Feng.
“XXX…”
Universal Language echoed through the command room.
“It’s telling me to leave?”
Luo Feng shook his head.
Over the past year, under Babata’s instruction, he had learned Universal Language.
Speaking it was still rather difficult.
He often had to mentally translate between Universal Language and Chinese before responding.
Fortunately, understanding spoken Universal Language was no longer much of a problem.
“Luo Feng, insert the signal transmitter into the green slot on the left side of the control console,” Babata instructed. “Ignore whatever nonsense the spacecraft intelligence is saying. No matter how intelligent it is, it’s still only an artificial intelligence. If it can’t control any weapons or systems, it’s completely harmless. Right now it’s like a woman who’s been stripped naked and tied up…”
Inside the intelligent virtual space on Luo Feng’s wrist, Babata sighed dramatically before grinning.
“Now it’s my turn to have my way with her. Hahaha.”
He flashed his sharp little fangs.
Luo Feng shook his head helplessly.
He inserted the signal transmitter directly into the green slot.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
A shrill alarm instantly echoed throughout the command room.
At the same time, the display rapidly filled with countless lines of text.
“Haha, just watch me. Luo Feng, this intelligent system is actually fairly impressive. Still, I’ll crack it within thirty minutes. After that, this Black Dragon spacecraft will belong to us.”
Babata immediately launched a full scale intrusion.
Naturally, the spacecraft’s intelligent system began resisting and defending itself.
“Warning. System under attack.”
The Universal Language announcement echoed through the room.
“Enter password within thirty seconds.”
“Otherwise self destruction sequence will begin.”
“Thirty.”
“Twenty nine.”
“Twenty eight.”
…
The instant the announcement sounded…
Luo Feng’s expression changed.
“What? It has a self destruction program?”
“Dammit, Luo Feng, this is bad. That spacecraft owner was a complete bastard. He actually programmed it so that if anyone tried to hack the intelligent system, it would immediately initiate self destruction.”
Babata clearly began panicking.
“What do we do? Is there any solution?” Luo Feng asked urgently.
“Thirty seconds? Even the most advanced intelligence in the universe couldn’t break through a system like this in only thirty seconds,” Babata replied anxiously. “I don’t know the stupid password either. We’re finished. I was planning to take over the intelligent system. Instead, since it couldn’t fight back, it’s choosing suicide. We’re finished. Completely finished.”
Luo Feng snapped angrily,
“Babata, stop talking like that at a time like this. Think of something. What do we do?”
“Uh…”
Inside the intelligent virtual space, Babata’s crimson eyes widened.
He blinked several times.
Only then did he realise…
Luo Feng was genuinely furious.
Indeed, Luo Feng was so anxious he felt as though he were burning inside.
He had no time whatsoever for Babata’s jokes.
“Twenty.”
“Nineteen.”
“Eighteen.”
…
The countdown echoed continuously.
The display screen showed the remaining time as well.
“Ten.”
“Nine.”
“Eight.”
“Seven.”
…
Luo Feng was frantic.
“I’ve got no choice.”
Babata’s helpless voice sounded within Luo Feng’s sea of consciousness.
Crackle…
The control console suddenly emitted harsh electrical noises.
The screen rapidly filled with flickering symbols.
Sparks even erupted from many of the buttons.
“Five.”
“Four.”
…
The console’s voice became distorted and broken.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Shrill alarms echoed throughout the entire spacecraft.
Not only did the control console begin producing sparks, but sparks also burst from the ceiling and countless corridors throughout the vessel.
It looked as though the entire spacecraft was about to explode.
“Babata, what are you doing?” Luo Feng asked urgently.
Bang!
A sound like a light bulb bursting rang out.
The display screen instantly went completely black.
The lights in the command room also went out, plunging everything into darkness.
“Luo Feng, this was the only way.”
Babata’s voice once again echoed inside Luo Feng’s sea of consciousness.
“What did you do?” Luo Feng asked.
“The original owner programmed this Black Dragon Mountain X81 so that any outside signal attempting to hack the intelligent system would trigger self destruction unless the correct password was entered within thirty seconds.”
“And it’s impossible to crack the system in thirty seconds.”
“So there was only one solution.”
“I flooded the intelligent system with overwhelming amounts of data, instantly destroying it.”
“It was a brute force attack. The consequence is that the spacecraft’s control system has been damaged. Many of its transmission systems have probably burned out as well,” Babata said helplessly.
“But if I hadn’t destroyed it by force, the alternative would have been…”
“The spacecraft would have activated its self destruction mechanism and exploded.”
“You needed the spacecraft’s weapons, Luo Feng.”
“So this was the only option.”
Luo Feng immediately understood.
Originally, Babata had intended to take over the intelligent system gently and assume complete control of the spacecraft.
Unfortunately, circumstances had not allowed it.
To prevent the spacecraft from exploding, brute force had become the only choice.
“Babata, thank you,” Luo Feng said.
Inside the virtual space on his wrist…
Babata, dressed in his black robe, looked rather dejected.
He was clearly disappointed by the outcome.
He had boasted so confidently beforehand.
Yet this result could hardly be considered a victory.
“Babata, thank you.”
Luo Feng’s voice echoed again.
Babata froze.
Thank you?
His previously gloomy eyebrows immediately lifted.
Grinning broadly and revealing his adorable little fangs, he laughed.
“No need to thank me, Luo Feng. Hehe. I’m pretty amazing, aren’t I? Even brute force destruction requires real skill. My intelligence far surpasses its own. I instantly overwhelmed it with so much data that it couldn’t even react before collapsing.”
Luo Feng turned to look at the three Flowing Silver Guards, as well as the pile of powder and belongings left behind by the officer.
“Luo Feng, back then my master discovered that within nearly a thousand light years around Earth there were many races with considerable potential, so he claimed this entire region as his territory. At that time, this area belonged to the Silver Blue Empire. My master merely displayed a little of his authority. With a single spiritual attack, he annihilated the souls of every soldier aboard a massive interstellar fleet, causing the fleet to crash onto numerous planets.”
Babata continued,
“The owner of this Black Dragon spacecraft was probably one of the important figures within that fleet.”
“Someone who could afford both a Black Dragon Mountain X81 and Flowing Silver Guards held considerable status within the Milky Way,” Babata commented. “His belongings are definitely valuable. Take everything.”
Luo Feng nodded.
“Also, the Flowing Silver Guards have exhausted all their energy. I’m not sure whether my reserve energy crystals are compatible with them. I’ll take them away and repair them to see if they can be used again.”
As Babata spoke, the three half naked Flowing Silver Guards instantly disappeared.
With a thought from Luo Feng…
The officer’s ring, weapon, and all the other belongings he had left behind were also collected.
Once again, the Heavy Force Jack lifted the hatch.
Luo Feng easily passed through the laser corridor and exited.
“Babata, when will the spacecraft’s weapons be ready?” Luo Feng asked.
“The Black Dragon spacecraft’s intelligent and control systems have been damaged, but the weapons themselves weren’t affected. Even so, after hundreds of thousands of years, despite those three robots maintaining the ship, the weapons probably have some minor issues. Don’t worry. I’ve already inspected them roughly. I’m confident I can restore at least one weapon capable of killing a sixth or seventh level Stellar rank expert.”
“As for the time…”
“I can’t be certain.”
“Probably one or two days.”
Whoosh!
The black disc shaped spacecraft instantly disappeared from sight.
“I’ve stored the spacecraft away. I’ll begin repairing the weapons immediately,” Babata said.
“Thank you for your hard work, Babata,” Luo Feng said sincerely.
“Hehe. It’s nothing. Nothing at all,” Babata replied. “Oh, that’s right. On our way out, I’ll collect this flagship wreck as well.”
The flagship was vastly larger than the spacecraft itself.
Babata’s storage equipment was indeed far larger than Luo Feng’s spatial ring.
Whoosh!
Luo Feng’s thoughts remained with his family.
He had no idea what was happening across the world or what the Golden Horned Beast had done after surviving the hydrogen bomb attack and becoming utterly enraged.
His heart was filled with anxiety and urgency.
At his maximum speed, he rapidly escaped from the depths beneath the seabed.
Bursting through the ocean’s surface, he stepped onto the Soaring Shuttle and transformed into a streak of light, flying at top speed towards China on the Asian continent.
