Inside the octagonal hall.
Luo Feng looked at the handsome, pale man lying peacefully inside the enormous crystal coffin. Dressed in a black robe and resembling a god, this man was the Master of Yun Mo Planet, the peerless expert who had once dominated the universe and commanded nine Undying servants.
Deep down, Luo Feng had always admired supreme experts like him. He also knew very well that having a master to guide him and having no master at all were completely different paths.
Besides…
The black robed child, Babata, was staring straight at him.
Did he really have a choice?
“How do I become his disciple?” Luo Feng looked at Babata.
“Excellent. You’ve made the right choice!” Babata lifted his head proudly. “Because of your decision, the entire Earth will benefit. With me, the great demon Babata, assisting you, Luo Feng, your name will spread throughout the Milky Way Galaxy and across countless planets in the Black Dragon Mountain Starfield. Countless humans will admire and worship you. A single word from you will determine whether an entire planetary race rises or falls. You…”
Luo Feng smiled helplessly and interrupted the excited Babata.
“So, how do I become his disciple?”
“Well… normally, when my master accepted a personal disciple, he would invite friends from all around and hold a grand ceremony. But my master is dead, and Yun Mo Planet has been destroyed, so we’ll keep things simple.” Babata looked towards the crystal coffin, his voice suddenly becoming subdued. “All you need to do is kneel before my master’s remains and kowtow eight times.”
Luo Feng nodded.
Looking at the Master of Yun Mo Planet, who had lived for more than sixty million years and had been dead for fifty thousand years, he realised that he was now about to become this man’s disciple.
Bang.
Luo Feng knelt down and solemnly knocked his head on the ground eight times.
“From today onwards, you are my master’s fifth personal disciple, his final personal disciple, and the only one still alive.” Babata looked at Luo Feng.
Luo Feng immediately understood.
His teacher, the Master of Yun Mo Planet, had lost every one of his other personal disciples.
Just what kind of enemy had his teacher provoked?
Even Yun Mo Planet itself had been destroyed.
“Luo Feng, my master is dead and cannot teach you personally. Therefore, I shall teach you in his place.” Babata looked at him.
Luo Feng nodded.
“Don’t worry. Before my master died, he entrusted everything to me. Besides, I’m an intelligent lifeform who followed him throughout his life. I possess recordings of every lesson he ever gave his personal disciples, and I can replay them for you at any time. So there’s nothing to worry about.”
Babata sounded completely confident.
Hearing that, Luo Feng felt entirely reassured.
“First, I’ll give you a spatial storage item.”
The black robed Babata casually tossed something over.
A silver streak flew towards Luo Feng.
Luo Feng caught it and opened his hand.
It appeared to be an ordinary silver ring.
“Spatial storage items can take many forms, such as rings, wristbands, and so on.” Babata smiled. “However, creating a spatial ring is extremely difficult. Even in the universe, it’s considered a luxury item. The material is special and can merge into your skin.”
Luo Feng placed the ring onto the middle finger of his left hand.
Without making a sound, it flowed like liquid mercury into his skin.
He felt a cool sensation.
Then the ring disappeared completely.
“Now send a trace of your spiritual force into it and leave your spiritual imprint inside. You only need to do this once. After that, it’ll never be necessary again,” Babata said.
“Spiritual imprint?” Luo Feng asked. “How do I do that?”
“Idiot.”
Babata bared his teeth in frustration.
“A spiritual imprint. No matter how powerful a person’s soul becomes, every soul remains fundamentally unique. No two souls are ever completely identical. Just send your spiritual force inside. Don’t worry about anything else.”
“Oh.”
With a thought, Luo Feng guided a strand of spiritual force through his arm into his finger and into the ring.
The ring underwent a subtle change.
Moments later…
Luo Feng suddenly felt as though the ring had become another part of his own body.
Without using any spiritual force, he could clearly sense everything inside it.
The ring contained a completely empty space.
It was enormous.
Judging by instinct, its height was roughly one hundred metres.
“The storage space is rectangular. Using Earth’s units, it’s six hundred and twelve metres long, five hundred and twenty one metres wide, and one hundred and eight metres high. We’ll ignore everything after the decimal point.”
Babata looked proudly at Luo Feng, clearly expecting a shocked reaction.
“Oh.”
Luo Feng simply nodded.
“What the hell? Don’t you realise how difficult it is to carve out a piece of the universe itself and seal it inside an object? And one this large?” Babata was clearly dissatisfied with Luo Feng’s reaction. “If experts across the universe found out about this ring, you’d be dead. Of course, as long as you don’t tell anyone, nobody will know.”
Luo Feng was secretly astonished.
Creating a spatial ring actually involved cutting out a piece of space itself?
That was absurdly incredible.
No wonder even someone as arrogant as Babata admitted that making one was extraordinarily difficult.
“Let’s go back up,” Babata said.
“Alright… but what about the crystal coffin?” Luo Feng looked towards it.
The black robed child turned to look at the body inside the crystal coffin.
For a moment, his expression became complicated.
In a low voice, he murmured, “Boss, from today onwards I’ll follow your disciple. Don’t worry. Leave everything to me.”
His voice was so soft that Luo Feng couldn’t hear it clearly.
Then Babata pointed at the ground.
Click. Click. Click.
The crystal coffin slowly began sinking into the earth.
Moments later, it disappeared beneath the floor, which gradually sealed itself shut.
“Let’s go.”
Babata had calmed down considerably.
Whoosh. Whoosh.
Following behind Babata, Luo Feng flew through the passage and returned to the circular hall above.
The brightly lit circular hall came into view.
Looking at the six corpses before him, Luo Feng sighed inwardly.
Five of them…
Were actually Undying experts.
“Luo Feng.”
Babata pointed towards the golden skeleton lying on the floor.
“This was my master’s second personal disciple. He was one of the most outstanding disciples my master ever had. But during that battle, while my master was being hunted, the enemy’s attack pierced straight through the Yun Mo Planet spacecraft and reached its interior. The Undying experts survived, but he…” Babata looked at the skeleton. “He died instantly.”
“The attack passed through the spacecraft and still reached the inside?”
Luo Feng was shocked.
“What level was my second senior brother?” he quickly asked.
“World Lord,” Babata replied.
Luo Feng fell silent.
A World Lord had died simply because an attack from a supreme Undying expert had passed through the spacecraft.
Clearly, the real target had been the Master of Yun Mo Planet.
“Wait.”
Luo Feng suddenly stared at Babata.
“Babata, Universe level experts can already fight on white dwarf stars. A World Lord should be able to destroy an entire planet with a wave of the hand. That enemy’s attack passed through the spacecraft and still killed him. Yet this spacecraft wasn’t reduced to ashes. What material is this ship made from?”
“So you’ve finally realised.”
Babata pointed towards the walls around them.
“Look at the dents in the floor and the walls. Those were left behind during battles between Undying experts. Even an Undying expert could do no more than leave a dent.”
“This Yun Mo Planet spacecraft was something my master acquired after spending unimaginable effort and paying an enormous price. It was even named after Yun Mo Planet itself.”
“As for its value? Even if you sold your entire Earth, it still wouldn’t amount to even a tiny fraction of this ship’s worth.”
Babata proudly lifted his head.
“Oh, by the way… didn’t you pick up a blood red fragment earlier?”
“Yes.”
Luo Feng nodded.
That weapon fragment had possessed unbelievably terrifying power.
“That was actually just a fragment broken from the edge of the spacecraft when it crashed onto Earth and became buried underground.”
Babata smiled.
“Don’t think the impact caused it. Even crashing into a neutron star wouldn’t break this spacecraft. The fragment only broke away because that supreme expert’s attack severely damaged the hull and split off part of its edge.”
“At first, the fragment remained inside the ship’s protective shield. Only after the ship crashed beneath Earth’s surface and the shield shut down did the fragment finally fall away.”
“A fragment?” Luo Feng asked.
“And a fragment is already that sharp?”
“I’ll show you what the spacecraft looks like.”
Babata pointed into the empty air.
Whoosh.
A three dimensional holographic model instantly appeared.
It looked exactly like a miniature version of the real spacecraft.
It was a blood red triangular ship.
However, each of its three corners curved smoothly.
Its edges were incredibly thin and razor sharp.
At first glance, it looked extremely fierce.
“Once the Yun Mo Planet spacecraft reaches high speed in space, its razor sharp edges allow it to slice effortlessly through asteroid fields without losing any speed.”
Babata looked rather pleased.
“You used that fragment to cut your battle boots. That was complete overkill. Even Undying experts find that material extremely difficult to damage.”
“I see.”
Luo Feng finally understood.
That had merely been a fragment of the spacecraft.
It wasn’t the blade fragment he had imagined.
“Unfortunately, the Yun Mo Planet spacecraft is too badly damaged. Right now, it can’t even take off. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have spent fifty thousand years stranded on Earth.” Babata shook his head. “If it can’t even fly, repairing the hull is impossible. Keep the fragment. Later, I’ll teach you how to use it properly. It’s far stronger than your Soaring Sky Shuttle.”
Luo Feng immediately asked, “Even a fragment has its own special way of being used?”
“Of course.”
Babata smiled.
“Earth’s cultivation methods and combat techniques are far too crude and primitive.”
“Now then, let’s talk about the inheritance your teacher left behind for you.”
Luo Feng listened attentively.
“You’ve already collected that pile of Mu Ya Crystals.”
Babata continued.
“What exactly are Mu Ya Crystals used for?” Luo Feng asked.
“Mu Ya Crystals are cultivation treasures. They’re also invaluable for raising beast companions and plant lifeforms. Their uses are extremely broad.” Babata explained. “A single Mu Ya Crystal can allow someone around Apprentice Level Eight or Nine to break directly into Planetary Level One after only one month of cultivation. In the universe, however, they’re most commonly used to raise beast companions and cultivate plant lifeforms. For example, the Cloud Vine obtained by Hong would grow extremely quickly if fed Mu Ya Crystals.”
“From now on, stop absorbing energy directly from the universe. The efficiency is far too low. You’ll waste most of your life simply gathering energy. At that rate, you’ll never become a Universe level expert.”
“From now on, you’ll cultivate using Mu Ya Crystals. As for those, I have plenty.”
