On the afternoon of 27 December 2058, the landing pad outside the global headquarters of the Extreme Dojo was packed with aircraft, either disc shaped fighters or intelligent fighter jets. Every single one was extremely expensive.
Luo Feng’s King Class Intelligent Fighter could only be considered average among them and did not stand out at all.
Because today, more than thirty Councillors had gathered there.
At 15:10, inside the Supreme Court located within the giant spaceship structure of the headquarters, more than half of Earth’s Councillor level experts, along with a small number of highly influential War Gods, had assembled.
“Luo Feng, let me introduce you. This is Councillor Baigrave.”
Under the guidance of Luo Feng’s friend, Inspector Liu He, Luo Feng met one famous and powerful figure after another. These Councillors were all quite courteous to the soon to be appointed sixth Inspector of the Extreme Dojo.
“This is Councillor Zhu Xi,” Liu He said with a smile. “He’s Chinese as well.”
“Councillor Zhu Xi, nice to meet you.”
Luo Feng extended his hand.
“Councillor Luo Feng, nice to meet you.”
The lean, hawk nosed man, Zhu Xi, shook his hand.
To an outsider, the scene looked no different from Luo Feng meeting the others.
Yet Luo Feng felt deeply moved.
Back when the War God Lu Gang had died, Councillor Zhu Xi had attended the memorial service. The sight of political leaders, business elites, military officials, and influential martial artists respectfully welcoming him had greatly shocked the young Luo Feng, who had still been a member of the Fire Hammer Squad.
And now…
He himself had become a Councillor.
“Luo Feng, look over there.”
Liu He lowered his voice.
“The white haired one who seems completely devoid of any living aura is Councillor Yan Hai.”
“Although he’s Chinese, he’s extremely close to Li Yao. By getting Li Yao killed this time, you’ve made an enemy of him. It won’t be easy to build a good relationship with him now.”
“He’s very powerful and even qualified to compete for the position of Fifth Chairman. But don’t worry, he wouldn’t dare provoke the Extreme Dojo. Just don’t go looking for trouble with him either.”
Luo Feng glanced over and merely smiled.
Councillor Yan Hai?
Forget Yan Hai.
Even the Third, Fourth, or Fifth Chairman would not be his match once he completed the Nine Nine Spirit Tempering process and advanced to First Stage Planetary Level.
In the distance, Yan Hai expressionlessly glanced at Luo Feng and snorted coldly.
Back during the Great Nirvana Period, he and Li Yao had fought through countless life and death situations together.
Yan Hai had practically regarded Li Yao as his own son.
The bond forged through such experiences ran incredibly deep.
Unfortunately, their opponent belonged to the Extreme Dojo.
Though Yan Hai harboured resentment, he could only suppress it.
“So that’s Luo Feng?”
“I heard his strongest telekinetic attacks can reach eight to nine million kilograms of impact force. That’s indeed comparable to some Councillors.”
“So what if it is? He still hasn’t broken through. His ground speed, running speed, and combat versatility are all inferior to ours. If he really fought a Councillor, he probably couldn’t defeat even one.”
“Some Councillors can manipulate flames, others ice. Their attacks are much more unpredictable.”
In several corners of the spectator gallery, some Councillors quietly discussed among themselves.
As they spoke, they formed invisible barriers around themselves to prevent their conversations from being overheard.
None of them wanted to offend Luo Feng.
The disdain they felt was only slight.
In truth, it stemmed from jealousy.
They envied his potential.
To possess such attack power while still at the War God level meant that once he became Planetary Level, he would undoubtedly rank among the strongest of them.
“Potential is one thing. Fighting us now is another.”
That was the view held by many Councillors.
As Luo Feng conversed with them, he could still sense the subtle distance they maintained.
Only the Inspectors of the Extreme Dojo treated him with genuine warmth.
“The First Chairman and Second Chairman have arrived.”
“Hong and Thunder God.”
The Councillors and War Gods in the gallery immediately fell silent.
From a side entrance, two figures emerged.
A man in black.
And a bald monk dressed in white robes.
They walked one after the other towards the front seats.
The black clad Hong seemed to swallow all surrounding light.
Meanwhile, the bald Thunder God carried an aura that instinctively inspired fear and respect.
“Hong, Sixth Stage Planetary Level.”
“Thunder God, Seventh Stage Planetary Level.”
Luo Feng watched them carefully.
Hong appeared cold and indifferent.
Thunder God wore a warm smile, yet inspired reverence.
These were Earth’s two strongest individuals.
In terms of raw physical strength, Thunder God surpassed Hong.
Yet because Hong possessed his own domain, his overall power remained superior.
Once Hong and Thunder God arrived, the trial soon began.
Luo Feng sat at the plaintiff’s table.
Li Yao and Venina stood at the defendant’s table wearing shackles and handcuffs.
Trials involving two High Level War Gods were exceedingly rare in human history.
At 16:20, the court delivered its verdict.
“Li Yao and Venina Polinas, for directing others to murder the family members of a Councillor, are found guilty.”
“The sentence is death.”
“Immediate execution.”
Li Yao and Venina’s expressions changed slightly.
In truth, they had already anticipated this outcome before the trial began.
“Luo Feng!”
The couple glared at him from the defendant’s table.
Luo Feng merely returned a cold glance.
The Vulture and Scorpion couple had dared target his family.
He had already made one mistake before.
He would never make a second.
People like them could not be allowed to remain alive.
Allowing them to live would mean neglecting his family’s safety.
It would be a failure of responsibility.
“Li Yao, surrender the Black God Armour.”
Two Councillors stepped forward.
Li Yao glanced around the courtroom.
There were more than thirty Councillors present.
Even Hong and Thunder God were there.
Killing him would be as easy as turning over a hand.
Though unwilling, he had no choice but to force the Black God Armour out from his body and hand it over.
“Escort the prisoners to the wilderness and carry out the execution,” the presiding judge ordered.
The execution escort consisted of two Councillors.
Liu He from the Extreme Dojo.
And Amuhan from the Thunder Dojo.
At Luo Feng’s request, he was permitted to accompany them.
Inside a Heaven and Earth Class Intelligent Fighter.
Li Yao and Venina sat shackled under the watch of Luo Feng, Liu He, and Amuhan.
“Luo Feng.”
Venina stared at him, her Chinese slightly awkward.
“If you had any courage, you would’ve killed us yesterday in the base city. Instead, you cowardly used the War God Palace court to judge us. You’re a shameless and useless bastard. Even if I die, I will never…”
“Shut up.”
Liu He interrupted coldly.
“I’m going to die anyway. Why should I fear you?” Venina sneered.
As a European, she understood Chinese but lacked skill when it came to swearing in the language.
Luo Feng simply looked at her coldly and ignored her entirely.
She was merely a pitiful person about to die.
Li Yao, meanwhile, remained silent.
His eyes never left Luo Feng.
“Even though you hunted me across Australia, I never sought revenge afterwards. I allowed you to live peacefully in Paris Base City.”
Luo Feng stared at him.
“But the moment news of my death spread, you immediately targeted my family.”
“Li Yao.”
“If I don’t kill you, I would be unworthy as a son.”
Li Yao remained silent, continuing to stare.
“Ah Wei, I couldn’t avenge you.”
“I’m useless.”
“It’s over. Everything is over.”
“Luo Feng. Luo Feng!”
“If ghosts truly exist after death, I still won’t let you go.”
Although he said nothing aloud, Li Yao roared endlessly in his heart.
Yet no matter how much hatred or resentment he carried, once he died, everything would become meaningless.
“I’m unwilling.”
“I’m unwilling to die like this.”
The force of his emotions caused blood to seep from where he clenched his teeth.
The Heaven and Earth Class fighter gradually descended.
“Get out.”
Li Yao and Venina walked down slowly.
Because of the shackles around their legs, they could only take small steps.
The two stood silently in the wilderness.
“Liu He.”
Amuhan spoke.
“You execute Li Yao. I’ll handle Venina.”
“No problem.”
Liu He smiled.
Amuhan walked towards Venina.
She was undeniably beautiful.
Yet her eyes were filled with hatred and faint tears.
As Amuhan approached, the curved blade at his waist flashed from its sheath.
A streak of light cut through the air.
Venina trembled.
Then she froze.
Whoosh.
Her head rolled from her shoulders.
The headless corpse collapsed onto the ground.
“Venina…”
Li Yao stared at her body and closed his eyes in pain.
“Once you’re dead, everything becomes meaningless.”
“No matter how ruthless I was, none of it matters now.”
“I’m unwilling.”
“Truly unwilling.”
The waiting was far more agonising than death itself.
His emotions surged like never before.
Anger.
Regret.
Despair.
His entire body trembled.
“Li Yao. Venina. The Vulture and Scorpion couple.”
Luo Feng glanced at Venina’s corpse before looking back at Li Yao.
“Let this grudge end here.”
“Luo Feng, want to do it yourself?” Liu He asked.
“You do it.”
Luo Feng shook his head.
Liu He smiled and walked towards Li Yao.
Li Yao’s body continued trembling.
His eyes remained closed.
There seemed to be tears at the corners.
“Li Yao.”
“Time to die.”
Liu He spoke casually.
Buzz.
The surrounding air suddenly distorted.
The previously motionless Li Yao abruptly shot backwards over a hundred metres.
“AAAAAHHHHH!”
Throwing back his head, he roared.
With a violent pull of his arms.
Clang!
The handcuffs shattered.
A burst of force from his legs.
Clang!
The shackles exploded apart.
“Luo Feng!”
Li Yao soared into the sky.
“I will kill you.”
“I swear I will!”
“Trying to escape?”
Luo Feng shouted sharply.
Stepping onto the Soaring Heaven Shuttle, he immediately shot into the air in pursuit.
