ROTIV Chapter 66

Liu Yunhai quickly grabbed the phone and dialled the number fast.

After all, he was the top leader in Tongzhou. Very few things could escape his notice. How could he not know about Luo Chen, who had been in the spotlight in Tongzhou recently?

“Hello, is this Mr Luo?”

“Yo, Mayor Liu is quite busy, huh?” Luo Chen sounded very unhappy.

“Sorry about that, Mr Luo. I was indeed reviewing documents just now,” Liu Yunhai said apologetically.

“It’s nothing serious. Your son, Liu Ziwen, got into trouble at Yujinxiang Middle School. And unfortunately for the past two days, I happen to be his class teacher. That’s all there is to it!” After saying this, Luo Chen hung up the phone directly.

“Prepare the car, prepare the car right now!” Liu Yunhai became anxious at once.

Did he care about his son?

Of course he did. But sometimes he really was too busy. If it were someone else, it might be fine. But this time, from what he heard, his son had offended Luo Chen. That made the matter truly serious.

He could handle almost anyone else, but Luo Chen was the one exception. Old Master Ye had personally given him a heads-up about this man.

Moreover, Liu Yunhai had personally read the detailed report about what happened to Luo Chen at Longteng Villa last time.

In his position, he knew very well that some people simply could not be controlled or restrained.

And unfortunately, Luo Chen was exactly that kind of person.

If this was not handled properly, the situation could really blow up.

Once in the car, Liu Yunhai told the driver to head straight to Yujinxiang Middle School. Carrying a stomach full of anger, he rushed towards Yujinxiang.

He even began to suspect that Liu Ziwen must have caused some huge trouble.

Otherwise, why would Luo Chen personally make the call? This was definitely not a small issue.

At that moment, Liu Ziwen was lying on his desk, sleeping soundly without a care in the world.

Just then, Liu Yunhai arrived. But it was during class time, so he could only wait outside.

For someone who valued time as much as Liu Yunhai, this was pure torture. And seeing his son snoring away on the desk only made his anger grow stronger.

Finally, after about half an hour, the class ended. The teacher walked out of the classroom. Liu Yunhai was already on the verge of exploding.

Meanwhile, Liu Ziwen was still fast asleep.

Liu Yunhai practically ran into the room. While the students in Class 3 were wondering who this person was, he grabbed Liu Ziwen by the hair, yanked his head up, and slapped him hard across the face.

Liu Ziwen woke up instantly. He was even a bit dazed from the slap. He never imagined anyone at school would dare hit him.

But when he opened his eyes and saw who it was, he froze.

“Dad?”

Liu Yunhai had not vented enough. He swung his hand and delivered another slap. Then, with a dark face, he said, “Come outside with me!”

Even now, Liu Ziwen still felt it was somewhat unreal.

His dad had really come?

Covering his face, Liu Ziwen walked out. Only when he saw Liu Yunhai standing in the corridor did he realise it was really happening.

But Class 3 had already exploded.

“Did Ziwen just call that man Dad?”

“Did I hear that right?”

“Who else would dare hit him like that if not his dad!”

“Teacher Luo actually called his dad here?”

“It’s over, it’s over. Is it still possible for me to go apologise to Teacher Luo now?”

“Ziwen is finished this time. He was just bragging earlier. Now Teacher Luo is definitely going to destroy him.”

Now many students were genuinely scared, not just joking anymore.

If even Liu Ziwen’s father had been called in, then it was very possible their own parents would be summoned too.

If that happened, things would become really serious.

After this, who in the whole class would still dare to go against Luo Chen?

Outside in the corridor.

“Have you caused trouble?” Liu Yunhai asked. In truth, this was exactly what worried him most.

If he really had to explain, he was not actually afraid of Luo Chen. After all, he was the top official in Tongzhou.

But he did not want to offend Luo Chen, and he especially did not want to deal with him. Luo Chen’s background was rather sensitive, and he did not want any stains on his own record.

Yet this useless son had forced him to deal with Luo Chen this time.

“Take me to your class teacher!” Liu Yunhai was full of rage.

At that moment, because Chen Chao had followed Sun Jianguo’s advice and talked with the principal for a long time, they finally had no choice but to call Luo Chen over and hold a meeting.

“Teacher Luo, it seems someone is looking for you outside,” one teacher came in to report.

“Tell him I’m in a meeting. Let him wait outside!” Luo Chen was sitting in the office. Of course he knew who it was, but right now he was very displeased. So let Liu Yunhai wait.

“Sorry, sir. Teacher Luo is in a meeting. Please wait outside,” the teacher came out to pass on the message.

Liu Yunhai became even angrier, but he did not dare leave.

Because in this matter, he was actually in the wrong.

Still, asking a sitting mayor to wait outside like this seemed a bit unreasonable, did it not?

By then the principal had already started speaking.

“Teacher Luo, since graduation is approaching, the school feels it is time to organise a parents’ meeting for the class. Other classes have already held theirs. Only Class 3 of Senior Three has not. What do you think?”

“So, Principal, are you saying you want me to hold a parents’ meeting for Class 3?” Luo Chen asked.

“Yes.” This time the principal seemed to have been persuaded. Urged on by Chen Chao, he was trying to set a trap for Luo Chen.

“Is such a small thing really worth calling me here for a meeting?” Luo Chen sounded somewhat surprised and impatient.

“Hmph, small thing?” Chen Chao gave a cold laugh.

“Isn’t it a small thing? It’s just a parents’ meeting, right?” To Luo Chen, this really was a trivial matter.

When the other teachers heard this, some of them were not happy.

In a normal class, holding a parents’ meeting really was simple. Just make a phone call, confirm the time, and the parents would naturally show up.

But Class 3 was different. The parents were either wealthy businesspeople, major figures in Tongzhou, top leaders, or people with extremely prominent status.

In short, the parents of Class 3 were all big shots, some so big it was unimaginable.

People of that level were not the kind you could summon with one phone call from a mere teacher.

“Teacher Luo, I must admit you may have some ability in teaching. But that remark you just made was far too arrogant!”

One teacher stood up. Last time, because Luo Chen went running, this teacher had lain at home sick for several days and had only recovered today.

“Arrogant just for holding a parents’ meeting? Didn’t you hold parents’ meetings before?” Luo Chen countered.

“I have to remind you that the parents of Class 3 are not ordinary parents!”

“Hmph, look how capable Teacher Luo is. He can definitely get them all to come. You don’t need to worry,” Chen Chao said sarcastically at that moment. “But let me just say this, Teacher Luo. Since you are so capable of inviting all the parents of Class 3, why are you still just a teacher?” Chen Chao sneered.
