In the branch courtyard of the Qingmi Mountain sect, Ye Chu returned to his previous routine. He cultivated daily and toyed with Zhang Lan. Naturally, after doing it a few times, Ye Chu lost interest. Zhang Lan now treated him with utmost reverence, completely lacking her former sharp and fiery temper. This robbed Ye Chu of the satisfaction of playing the villain, so eventually he simply stopped paying her any attention.
Watching Zhang Lan flee as if relieved of a heavy burden, Yang Ning giggled beside him. “You are perfectly fine, young master, yet you always pretend to be so menacing just to scare people.”
Ye Chu turned his gaze to Yang Hui. Her figure was plump and mature, her skin fair and smooth, with a full bosom and wide hips. Standing together, they truly possessed the enchanting allure of sisters.
“Is that so? Have I not always been a scoundrel in your eyes?” Ye Chu looked at Yang Ning’s captivating face and suddenly smiled.
Teased by Ye Chu, Yang Ning’s face flushed red. She naturally remembered their first meeting, when she had viewed Ye Chu as a despicable scoundrel who relied on threats and bribes. However, after travelling with him for so long, she gradually realised that although he was unrestrained and unconventional, he was also humorous and amusing, not nearly as depraved as she had initially imagined. Yet hearing him say it now made her cheeks burn fiercely. “What nonsense are you talking about, young master? I never thought that.”
Ye Chu laughed. “If Yang Hui had not asked me to save her back then, you would have chopped me to death with a knife long ago.”
Yang Hui covered her cherry red mouth and laughed from the side. The longer they stayed with Ye Chu, the more they felt he was merely rough on the outside, while his true character was far better than his appearance suggested.
“Senior brother!” While Ye Chu was nearly falling asleep as Yang Hui massaged his legs, Zhu Fengcheng walked over and spoke respectfully. “The Three Yuan Sect has already handed over half of their assets.”
Ye Chu finally opened his eyes, feeling somewhat surprised. He had not expected the Three Yuan Sect to be so compliant. He had even prepared to make a scene if they resisted, just to have an excuse.
“So obedient. Did those bastards really hand them over? Damn it!” Ye Chu could not help but curse under his breath.
Ye Chu’s curse made Zhu Fengcheng pause briefly. He looked at Ye Chu strangely, wondering what was on his mind. Was it not better that they had surrendered their assets obediently? Why did he look so displeased? Despite his multitude of doubts, Zhu Fengcheng dared not ask. He knew exactly how imposing Ye Chu was, and how his temperament brooked no argument. If he spoke out of turn, who knew if it might provoke his anger.
“How much do you know about the Three Yuan Sect?” Ye Chu asked Zhu Fengcheng.
“Ah!” Zhu Fengcheng blinked slightly but quickly replied. “They have fought over this branch territory with Qingmi Mountain for a long time, so I know them very well. I just do not know which aspect you wish to hear about?”
“How many strong experts do they have?” Ye Chu asked curiously.
“In your eyes, senior brother, there are probably only three. Their three elders are known as the Three Kings. Of course, they are not all truly King realm experts. Only their leader has actually reached that stage. The other two are merely at the peak of the Xuanming realm. They failed to take that final step into the King realm because it is simply too difficult,” Zhu Fengcheng explained.
“Three, huh!” Ye Chu tapped his fingers on the armrest of the rocking chair he was sitting in, pondering inwardly.
“Senior brother…” Seeing Ye Chu fall silent, Zhu Fengcheng called out cautiously.
Ye Chu looked at him. “Are you interested in swallowing all of the Three Yuan Sect assets? Do you dare to take them?”
“You are joking, senior brother! Naturally we want to, but if we push them too far, their elders will intervene. Although the Path of the Heavenly Prodigy is said to be a battlefield for the younger generation, if they are truly backed into a corner, the older generation will fly into a rage. The guardians of the Path tacitly accept this rule,” Zhu Fengcheng replied.
“I am only asking if you dare,” Ye Chu said, staring at him. “Are the disciples from this branch territory enough to take control of the Three Yuan Sect assets?”
“Of course we are enough. We just need to distribute disciples from the various peaks of Qingmi Mountain across the region. If we lack manpower but have resources, experts will naturally come to join us. If we can truly seize all the surrounding assets, the power of this branch territory will surge dramatically. It could genuinely become a King domain,” Zhu Fengcheng answered.
There were plenty of resources here. The reason they could not grow stronger was simply because the constant struggle between both sides had consumed too much. If they could unify the region and allow it to recover and thrive, this place would undoubtedly become a major power.
“Then that is enough!” Ye Chu replied. “Among the three, only one is a King, correct?”
“Yes!” Zhu Fengcheng grew even more confused, having no idea what Ye Chu intended to do.
“In that case, let us go and wipe them out,” Ye Chu said calmly.
“What?” Not only did Zhu Fengcheng’s eyes widen in shock, but Yang Hui and Yang Ning also turned to look at Ye Chu, showing clear disbelief.
After speaking, Zhu Fengcheng lowered his head, looking somewhat terrified. He feared his earlier words might have angered Ye Chu. Yet his mind was churning like a stormy sea. What was Ye Chu thinking? Did he really want to annihilate the Three Yuan Sect? Was this a joke?
“Young master! Would that not be too risky? They have a King realm expert guarding them after all,” Yang Ning reminded him from the side.
Zhu Fengcheng even had the urge to hug Yang Ning and kiss her fiercely. He dared not say it himself, but Yang Ning had spoken for him. Zhu Fengcheng knew very well that although Ye Chu was strict with them, he doted exceptionally on these two fairy-like maids.
“A King is indeed strong, but not invincible. If it comes down to it, I will simply use the secret technique. There is nothing to worry about,” Ye Chu smiled and replied to Yang Ning.
Yang Ning naturally knew about Ye Chu’s secret technique. Hearing him say this, she did not press further and simply nodded. “Since the young master has a plan, Yang Ning is relieved.”
Yet while Yang Ning was relieved, Zhu Fengcheng wanted to cry. “Good heavens! You should have persuaded him! How can he take such a risk? That is a King realm expert! Besides, such seizures can only be handled by the younger generation. The elders stationed here cannot step in. That is the rule of the Heavenly Prodigy Path.”
Sneaking a glance at Yang Ning standing aside and massaging Ye Chu’s legs, Zhu Fengcheng felt even more like weeping. How could they just not advise him? That was a dragon’s pool and a tiger’s den!
“Go and make the arrangements. In three days, we will seize all of the Three Yuan Sect territory.”
Sure enough, Zhu Fengcheng heard a statement that nearly made him faint. He stared blankly at Ye Chu for a long moment before finally gathering his courage. Staring back, he said, “Senior brother, we…”
However, before he could finish, Ye Chu led Yang Hui and Yang Ning into the room, leaving him alone outside. Staring at the firmly closed door, Zhu Fengcheng stood there in a daze.
“Heavens, is he really playing me like this?”
Zhu Fengcheng wanted to curse his ancestors. Was this a joke? To seize all their assets, did Ye Chu actually have the power to suppress those three experts? If he failed to suppress them, the consequences…
Thinking of this, Zhu Fengcheng felt his scalp tingle with dread.
