PDE Chapter 289

Ye Chu’s heart shook violently with this. The other party was merely a single thought, yet it caused the heaven and earth void to move according to his will. Just how strong must one be to achieve something like this?

Tan Miaotong had once told him that Xuan Yuan realm existences could reign as kings in one region. Ye Chu had also seen the blood of a Xuan Yuan realm expert shake a Xuan Ming realm cultivator to death. But none of that felt as intense as the sensation right now. A Xuan Yuan realm expert could make a Xuan Ming realm cultivator struggle to breathe with just a single thought.

“Is this what it means to reign as king in one region?” Ye Chu exhaled lightly. He was truly shaken by this. It was genuinely terrifying!

“One Xuan Yuan realm existence represents the king of one region. Even if he falls, the lingering blessings he leaves behind can ensure his family remains undefeated for a hundred years.” Ruo Shui said from the side. “Stepping into this level truly enters the strong expert tier among cultivators. One can sweep across the mortal world!”

Huo Xin Wang saw Ruo Shui speaking freely and felt surprised in his heart. Although he had not unleashed his full aura, the pressure from what he had shown earlier was already enough to make a Xuan Ming realm cultivator uncomfortable. Yet this woman completely ignored it. This astonished him, and he could not help studying Ruo Shui.

But after observing her for a moment, Huo Xin Wang’s expression changed dramatically. With a look of disbelief he stared at Ruo Shui. This woman’s strength was actually not much weaker than his own.

Huo Xin Wang had originally been dazzled by Ruo Shui’s beauty and wanted to seize her. In the Four Directions Valley, if he wanted a woman no one could stop him. But at this moment his desire vanished completely. He nodded politely towards Ruo Shui, turned, and flew away through the air!

Everyone found this extremely unexpected. They did not understand why the lofty Huo Xin Wang had suddenly become so courteous towards a woman.

But Ruo Shui paid them no attention. She and Ye Chu found an inn and settled in.

The next day Ye Chu got up very early. He crept quietly to Ruo Shui’s door and raised his hand to push it open, but the door suddenly swung wide. Ruo Shui stood there elegantly and asked while looking at Ye Chu, who was standing outside with his hand outstretched, “What are you doing?”

“Ah! I was preparing to knock and wake you. The auction is about to start!”

Ruo Shui gave Ye Chu a suspicious glance. Seeing that his eyes were clear as he looked at her, she finally shifted her gaze away.

“That was close!” Ye Chu could not help patting his chest. He thought that if he had been caught just now it would have been disastrous. He could not beat this woman in a fight, and even if she killed him the old madman probably would not care whether he lived or died.

When they arrived at the Four Directions Auction House the place was already packed with people. What surprised Ye Chu was that although dragons and snakes had gathered at the Four Directions Auction House, no one dared to make noise inside.

“The Four Directions Auction House is rumoured to have a giant standing behind it with an astonishing background. No one dares cause trouble here!” Ruo Shui explained Ye Chu’s confusion.

“A giant? He counts for nothing. In front of my master he is nothing but a dog!” A voice suddenly rang in Ye Chu and Ruo Shui’s ears. Ye Chu turned to look. Behind them stood several people, led by a man wearing a black robe and a bamboo hat. This man simply stood there quietly, giving off a sinister feeling.

Around him were several cultivators. These cultivators were arrogant and overbearing, shoving aside everyone blocking their path.

“What is the Four Directions Auction House? How can it compare to my master?” One cultivator standing in front of the black-robed man laughed loudly, showing complete disdain for the Four Directions Auction House.

This sentence made many people look at them in terror. No one had ever dared behave like this at the Four Directions Auction House before.

After the young man finished speaking his gaze fell on Ruo Shui. “Miss, we have reserved several private rooms at the Four Directions Auction House. Would you like to join us? Whatever you fancy we will give it to you. The Four Directions Auction House is nothing much. If you follow us you can even smash the place if you want.”

“Get lost!” Ruo Shui stared at the young man with a cold expression.

The young man’s face turned iron-green instantly. He raised his hand to slap her, but before the slap could land the black-robed man beside him grabbed his wrist and roared angrily, “Shut your mouth and get out of the way!”

“Master! I…”

Before the young man could finish, the black-robed man slapped him across the face. The young man’s cheek swelled red instantly. This left him staring at his master in disbelief. His master had always been protective and had never hit him before.

“My inferior disciple is unruly. I hope Miss does not mind!” The black-robed man’s voice was icy cold and extremely grating.

This sentence made the several arrogant young men widen their eyes in shock. What had happened to their master? How could he apologise to a woman! Although this woman was beautiful, their master could simply seize her directly. Why fear that she would not climb into his bed?

But since their master had spoken they did not dare say anything. They lowered their heads and followed the black-robed man into the Four Directions Auction House.

Ye Chu saw Ruo Shui staring straight at the black-robed man’s back and could not help asking, “What is wrong?”

“He is not simple. He is very strong!” Ruo Shui commented.

Ye Chu fell into thought. If Ruo Shui evaluated someone this way the other party must truly be very strong.

“Master, you…” The young man who had been slapped looked at the black-robed man with grievance.

“In the future if you encounter those two, stay far away. She is not someone you can provoke!” The black-robed man said indifferently. “She is not weaker than me!”

One sentence left them all terrified, especially the young man, whose back went cold. He finally understood why his master had slapped him. Daring to flirt with such a person was no different from seeking death.

Ye Chu and Ruo Shui entered the auction house and went to the private room they had reserved. After taking their seats they discovered that the black-robed man was sitting in the opposite private room.

The private rooms gradually filled with people. Ye Chu noticed that everyone who could own a private room was a major cultivator whose strength had reached the great cultivator level.

What surprised Ye Chu was that Huo Xin Wang had also taken a seat in one of the private rooms.

“Something feels off!” Ruo Shui said to Ye Chu. “A person of this level should not appear at an auction like this. It seems that this auction has treasures that have caught their attention.”

“Never mind them. We only need that cultivation method for Sha Ling practitioners anyway.” Ye Chu said to Ruo Shui. “As long as we do not provoke him they will not necessarily provoke us!”

Ruo Shui nodded and said to Ye Chu, “What you say makes sense too. Once we bid for that item we will leave this place quickly. These people have gathered together and will not disperse easily!”

Ye Chu did not understand Ruo Shui’s words, but when he saw the auctioneer take out the first item and begin the bidding he suddenly thought of something. His expression changed dramatically.

“What is wrong?” Ruo Shui asked in confusion.

“I forgot something fatal!” Ye Chu’s face turned pale as he stared blankly at Ruo Shui.

“Hmm?” Ruo Shui was also startled by Ye Chu, not knowing what had happened.

“We have no money. What can we bid for?” Ye Chu said with a bitter expression.

One sentence made Ruo Shui grit her teeth in frustration. For such a small matter he had spoken as if it were a life-and-death crisis and had even given her a fright.

Tomorrow is Qingming Festival. I need to sweep the tomb for the ancestor’s gate. The update will probably be very late. Sorry about that. I still love you all…
