“Ye Chu, let him go,” Ruo Shui said, signalling Ye Chu to release the hostage in his hand.
When Ye Chu saw Ruo Shui appear, he naturally had no intention of fighting them. He let go of the cultivator and turned his gaze to Ruo Shui. She stood there quietly, very calm. Her figure was tall and slender, her whole body glowing with crystal-clear purity, like a true goddess.
Beside Ye Chu, whether it was Bai Xuan, Tan Miaotong, or Ji Die and Ye Jingyun, every one of them was a woman of unparalleled beauty in the world. Yet at this moment, when Ye Chu looked at Ruo Shui, he was truly captivated. This woman did not belong to the mortal realm. She was a divine goddess of her generation.
“He is from Heartless Peak. Nominally, he is an inheritor of Floating Life Palace. In the future, treat people from Heartless Peak as clan members,” Ruo Shui said calmly. Her words carried authority and drew everyone’s attention.
“Come with me,” Ruo Shui said to Ye Chu without giving much explanation. Her dream-like figure moved forward, but she did not head towards Floating Life Palace. Instead, she led Ye Chu out of the rainbow bridge and to the riverbank.
“Where are we going?” Ye Chu asked as he looked at the peerlessly elegant woman. He could not help speaking up. He had come here only to find out if there was a way to counter the supreme will. He did not want to waste time.
Ruo Shui did not answer Ye Chu. Her figure floated through the air and leaped forward. Her posture was graceful, her hair flew in the wind, and she looked ethereal, making one’s mind sink into her presence.
Ye Chu did not know what she intended to do, but he could only follow Ruo Shui. She led him far away from Floating Life Palace until they reached a mountain range. In the mountain range stood a dilapidated Taoist temple. The temple was very large. Ruo Shui stopped outside the temple. “My physique is special. I can resist baleful qi,” Ye Chu did not hide it. Ruo Shui had seen his performance in the General’s Tomb, so she naturally knew about his physique. Asking this was just to confirm once more.
“The multicoloured baleful spider from the General’s Tomb. Did it disappear back then because it entered your body?” Ruo Shui continued to ask Ye Chu.
Ye Chu was stunned for a moment, then quickly realised. He thought Ruo Shui must have seen him unleash baleful qi.

“The situation last time was special. If it happened again, perhaps everyone would have died,” Ye Chu thought to himself. If not for the black iron, everyone would have perished there.
“With the multicoloured baleful spider in your body, how can you control it?” Ruo Shui asked with concern. She knew this creature was extremely terrifying. If it emerged, it could bring a storm of blood and carnage.
“It is already dead, and its baleful qi has dissipated,” Ye Chu replied. “The baleful qi I erupted with today was the last remnants.”
Ruo Shui was stunned. Then she thought of something. “Was it the old madman who acted for you?”
Ye Chu did not deny it. He did not want to explain too much, so he simply let her assume it was correct.
Ruo Shui was not surprised. If it was him who acted, killing the multicoloured baleful spider with a shock was not strange. However, such a supreme treasure being destroyed like that was truly a pity.
“Why did you bring me here?” Ye Chu asked Ruo Shui curiously.
“You have touched the sword of Heartless Peak. Without entering here, you cannot enter one part of my clan,” Ruo Shui said to Ye Chu.
“Hmm?” Ye Chu did not understand. He looked at Ruo Shui with curiosity.
“This Taoist temple is where our ancestor once comprehended the Dao. He left his insights and patterns engraved inside. Go in and memorise those patterns,” Ruo Shui told Ye Chu.
“The patterns left by that supreme expert?” Ye Chu felt shocked inside and could not help but grow excited. That supreme expert was so terrifying. If these were patterns he left behind, their value would be boundless.
Ruo Shui seemed to know what Ye Chu was thinking. She said calmly, “Those patterns are very simple, just some basic methods. Any cultivator can remember them. Do not hold too much hope. They are only somewhat special for you.”

When Ye Chu emerged from the array, the scene before him was completely renewed. The wild weeds from earlier were gone. Although the temple still had broken walls everywhere, it was very clean. The strangest thing was that in this vast temple, rainbow lights flickered.
