PDE Chapter 227

Ye Chu wanted to grab Ou Yi, but Ou Yi was moving too fast. He could only watch as Ou Yi charged forward with his head lowered, heading straight towards the carving of a giant dragon.

Just as Ou Yi’s head was about to smash into the divine dragon, the dragon suddenly soared upwards, as though it did not dare to touch him. It fled. After it escaped, at the spot where Ou Yi had been, a mystic stone flickered with astonishing light.

“Come on! Why are you running away?” Ou Yi had fallen into complete madness. He punched out again and again, smashing towards those divine dragon carvings. Yet not a single dragon carving seemed willing to face him. They all soared up and dodged away.

Ou Yi was frenzied, his face twisted in ferocity, his clothes in disarray, his hair flying wildly. He had gone utterly insane.

All this time, Ou Yi had cared deeply about his appearance. His hair had always been perfectly neat. He valued his image more than his own life. Yet now he had not only smashed his mirror, he had thrown all care for his appearance aside. He was acting like a complete madman, smashing and crashing everywhere.

“Get out of my way! I want to go in!” Ou Yi roared. Punch after punch flew towards the front. Countless divine spirit carvings shot up into the air in chaos.

“If you won’t let me in, why won’t you let me die!”

“Forbidden land? What kind of forbidden land are you? This young master wants to go in. Why are you blocking me?”

“Get lost! Today either let me die, or let me in.”

“…”

Ou Yi raged on, cursing nonstop from his mouth. It was as though something had triggered him. His fists kept hammering the altar.

“You made me be born here, yet you don’t dare let me in. Ancient Nightmare, if you truly have a spirit, then come out and face me!” Ou Yi howled. Terrifying power kept bursting out, smashing against the altar.

Those words made Ye Chu and the others stare at Ou Yi in shock. No one had expected such a world-shaking revelation. Ou Yi had actually been born here? What did that mean?

Could the Ancient Nightmare Forbidden Land actually give birth to living beings? If not, then who else could survive in such a place for long and even bear a child?

Although Ye Chu had always known Ou Yi was mysterious, he had never imagined the mystery ran this deep. This news was far too shocking. Ou Yi had been born in the Ancient Nightmare! What was his relationship with the Ancient Nightmare? Could he be connected to some mysterious existence within the forbidden land?

But when Ye Chu thought about it, that seemed impossible. If there truly was such a connection, how could Ou Yi have been taken away by the old madman? And if the Ancient Nightmare Forbidden Land really had a mysterious existence, would it allow an outsider to take its own child?

Since a connection to the mysterious existence in the forbidden land seemed impossible, then what was it?

Ye Chu felt stunned just thinking about it as he looked at Ou Yi, whose eyes were blood-red.

“I dare to ask the heavens and earth: where did I come from? I dare to ask the heavens and earth: will you allow me to die in the Ancient Nightmare!”

Ou Yi roared. Punch after punch flew out. The grand formation actually did not dare to press down on him. He fought his way forward, disrupting the formation. Divine dragons scattered in flight. The light of the mystic stones dimmed.

Although Ou Yi’s power was worlds apart from a Supreme Venerable, the aura erupting from him at this moment was like that of a Supreme Venerable. Even the Ancient Nightmare Forbidden Land yielded to his edge.

In front of Ou Yi appeared a massive stone door. Mysterious patterns were engraved upon the stone door, carrying world-shaking presence. Anyone could see that this stone door was extraordinary, something no ordinary person could touch.

Yet Ou Yi showed no fear. He smashed straight forward with his fist. One punch landed, and his fist instantly became a bloody mess.

“Today, I must enter!” Ou Yi charged forward with unbreakable will, striking the stone door.

Under that blow, the stone door did not budge.

Ou Yi screamed until his voice grew hoarse, his eyes blood-red, his entire being frenzied. Punch after punch exploded outwards, shattering his fists until blood flowed freely and splashed onto the stone door.

Punch after punch came like lightning. Before long both fists were streaming with blood. Ye Chu could see the white bone exposed on Ou Yi’s hands.

Ye Chu wanted to rush forward and hold Ou Yi back, to bring him back to his senses. But he could not get close at all. The stone door and the violent aura around Ou Yi forced him to watch from afar.

“Crack…”

Another strike. Ou Yi’s fist smashed against the stone door. Ye Chu could hear the sound of bones shattering. Blood dyed the stone door red.

“Today, unless I die, I will enter!” Ou Yi roared. His fist struck out again. The sound of breaking bones made everyone’s hearts pound and their backs turn cold.

Whether it was Ou Yi’s indomitable will or the blood that had fallen onto the stone door, the stone door finally began to open slowly. Light flashed from the stone door and fell onto Ou Yi’s fist. The fist that had just been mangled bloody recovered in an instant, as though nothing had happened at all.

Ou Yi stared at the wide-open stone door. He knelt bitterly outside it, his expression desolate. His blood-red eyes looked ready to drip blood. His entire face was filled with sorrow, pale and lifeless.

“Why? Why didn’t you keep blocking me? Why?” Ou Yi threw his head back and howled to the sky. His voice shook the entire mountain peak.

“Ou Yi!” Ye Chu watched as the vitality in Ou Yi’s body grew fainter and fainter. His expression changed drastically. He had no idea what kind of stimulation Ou Yi had suffered to become so frenzied.

“I dare to ask the heavens and earth: do you dare let me die!”

Ou Yi roared. His voice shook the nine heavens.

If anyone else had said such words, the crowd would have found it laughable, or even cursed him. Who did he think he was? Some divine emperor? Even the heavens and earth did not dare let him die?

But at this moment no one dared show the slightest contempt or mockery. What they had witnessed was too shocking. Even the Ancient Nightmare Forbidden Land, which could bury the Heavenly Feather Holy Lord, had yielded to this frenzied man. Just what was his identity?

The stone door stood wide open. No one dared step inside. Only Ou Yi, lost in a daze, walked in unsteadily.

Ye Chu, worried about Ou Yi, chased after him.

Ji Die and the Heavenly Feather Prince looked at the wide-open stone door and felt it was an immense opportunity. They too stepped inside.

“Ou Yi!” Ye Chu entered and saw Ou Yi walking ahead in a trance. He reached out to grab him, but the result left Ye Chu stunned. What he grabbed was merely an afterimage. Ou Yi had long since vanished.

Yet what astonished him was that the afterimage suddenly turned solid. Ye Chu could actually hold onto it. Then he felt a powerful pulling force dragging him inside.

Ji Die was right behind Ye Chu. Seeing Ye Chu about to be swallowed by the afterimage, she suddenly grabbed his ankle. But in the blink of an eye she felt an overwhelming pulling force. She and Ye Chu were both dragged into the afterimage together.

The pulling force was immense. Ye Chu felt as though his body was about to be torn apart. But that sensation lasted only a moment. By the time he reacted, he had already crashed down somewhere. The ground here was extremely hard. Ye Chu hit the floor with a muffled groan of pain.

Just as Ye Chu, wincing in pain, tried to struggle to his feet, something suddenly crashed down on top of him. It was a soft, delicate body, warm and supple, carrying an alluring fragrance.
