Travelling aboard the Black Dragon spacecraft through universe transit, they arrived at Bailan Planet, 11,800 light years from Earth, on the very same day.
Bailan Planet, Extreme Cold Zone.
Large warehouse bases were scattered across the frozen wasteland. A black spacecraft slowly descended into the residential area of one of the super large warehouse bases, landing in front of a castle.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God quickly leapt out of the hatch, followed by four Black Mong Tribe bodyguards.
“Master!”
The 101 slave guards stationed on Bailan Planet stood outside the castle, respectfully welcoming Luo Feng’s arrival.
“Big Brother, Second Brother, come with me.”
Luo Feng headed towards the castle.
Walking up the castle’s spiral staircase.
“Third Brother, this place is quite nice.”
Thunder God looked through the staircase windows at the snow covered landscape outside.
This was his first time leaving Earth and visiting another life bearing planet.
“This is the first time in my life I’ve left Earth, and I’ve come all the way to… wait, how many light years from Earth was it again?”
“11,800 light years.”
Luo Feng was somewhat speechless.
Because of the Nolandshan Family, he was under tremendous pressure.
Yet his second brother, who had initially been nervous, now seemed completely relaxed.
“11,800 light years. What an incredible distance.”
Thunder God sighed in admiration.
“This is a good place to use as a base.”
Hong nodded slightly.
“Big Brother, Second Brother, aren’t you worried at all?”
Luo Feng pushed open a door and entered a reception room.
The three brothers sat down on separate sofas.
“Worried? Being anxious is completely useless when facing a crisis.”
Hong’s gaze remained calm.
“Whether it is the ancient yogic meditation practised in India, or the traditional Chinese methods of cultivating and nurturing the spirit, both are extremely beneficial for mental cultivation.”
“Mental cultivation?”
Luo Feng was somewhat puzzled.
The teachings of the Yun Mo Planet lineage and most other cultivation systems focused on skill, realm, and similar requirements.
Those realms were completely different from mental cultivation.
Someone with poor temperament and a twisted personality could still become a powerful expert.
“Could it be…”
Inside the intelligent space, Babata’s blood red eyes lit up.
“Is this the reason Hong and Thunder God possessed Domains while still at Planetary Level?”
“Earth produces the most experts from China and India. Many of them have already reached the Intent Realm in terms of comprehension, which is considerably higher than the average level found in the universe.”
The hierarchy of comprehension consisted of four main levels:
Foundation, Intent, Domain, and World.
Anything beyond that involved the Immortal level.
“Let’s not discuss that.”
Inside the reception room, Luo Feng spoke seriously.
“Big Brother, Second Brother, I spent the entire journey here thinking about our previous plan. It’s too risky.”
“Risky?”
Hong and Thunder God thought for a moment and nodded.
“What choice do we have if we don’t take risks?” Thunder God replied helplessly.
“We can’t calculate everything down to the exact second. Once the Nolandshan Family fleet reaches Earth, they’ll likely begin capturing and controlling important figures immediately.”
Luo Feng’s eyes were sharp as blades.
“No matter what, I absolutely refuse to let my family take such risks. I don’t think either of you want that either.”
Hong nodded.
“Didn’t we leave the other spacecraft on Earth?”
The C grade spacecraft captured from the adventurer team was parked behind Luo Feng’s castle.
It was intended as an escape vessel for Luo Feng’s family, Hong’s family, Thunder God’s family, and other important individuals in an emergency.
“No. That spacecraft is too small.”
Luo Feng shook his head.
“How many people could it hold? One thousand? Three thousand at most. And what about supplies? What would they eat and drink?”
“In the worst case, saving only a thousand people would make even the continuation of humanity difficult.”
“Then what are you suggesting?”
Hong and Thunder God looked at him.
“We buy survival bases.”
“Survival bases?”
Neither Hong nor Thunder God knew what those were.
“When developing primitive planets or valuable mining worlds, companies usually build survival bases.”
Luo Feng explained.
“Small survival bases can house tens of millions of people. Large ones can accommodate billions.”
“They provide air, water, food, and all necessities for long term survival.”
“Oh?”
Hong and Thunder God’s eyes lit up.
“Let’s enter the Virtual Universe Network and find someone selling survival bases.”
Luo Feng smiled.
Although the Nolandshan Family fleet would arrive in three months, nobody knew the exact timing.
It could be eighty eight days, eighty nine days, or something else entirely.
The schedule was not precise enough.
To prevent unexpected disasters, constructing a strong survival base was the safest option.
Virtual Universe, Black Dragon Mountain Island under the Ganwu Continent.
Although called an island, Black Dragon Mountain Island was millions of times larger than all the landmass on Earth combined.
Inside a private dining room in a restaurant.
“Even though this is the Virtual Universe, the food tastes exactly real.”
Thunder God clicked his tongue in admiration.
“And it’s incredibly cheap.”
“Stop eating. The supervisor from Tieluo Company will be arriving shortly.”
Hong reminded him.
A trace of worry remained between Luo Feng’s brows.
After checking survival base prices with Babata, his earlier optimism had vanished.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
A knock sounded at the door.
Thunder God got up and opened it.
A tall man entered.
He stood around 2.6 metres tall, with brown skin and three markings on each cheek.
He was a second level supervisor from the Black Dragon Mountain Empire branch of the large universal corporation Tieluo Company.
Smiling politely, he bowed slightly.
“My name is Luodi. It is a pleasure to meet you three. The survival base purchase you requested involves a very large sum, so it is better discussed face to face.”
“Understood.”
Luo Feng nodded.
The supervisor placed a black display board on the table.
Images of various survival bases immediately appeared on the screen.
“As you can see, survival bases come in many sizes, and naturally their prices vary greatly.”
“This is the cheapest A grade model. It costs only one hundred thousand Black Dragon Coins.”
“It measures ten kilometres in length and width, stands around one hundred metres tall, contains thirty floors, and can accommodate three hundred million residents.”
“There are also larger models.”
“You requested strong defensive capabilities.”
He continued smiling.
“This B6 grade model is much more expensive. With the same dimensions, it costs ninety million Black Dragon Coins.”
Hong and Thunder God studied the displayed prices.
“I need a survival base capable of resisting attacks from a Universe Level First Stage expert.”
Luo Feng stated directly.
More than forty Star Level Ninth Stage experts working together were roughly equivalent to one Universe Level First Stage expert.
“Oh? Then we’re talking about something expensive.”
Supervisor Luodi’s eyes brightened.
“This C5 grade model can house three hundred million people and costs ninety eight billion Black Dragon Coins.”
Luo Feng frowned.
After selling the Arc Cutter Disc, he had retained eighteen billion Black Dragon Coins.
Later, he purchased Azure Wave Marrow, the slave guard force, expensive metals for the Golden Horned Beast, and Purple Light Dew.
Now he had only 1.7 billion Black Dragon Coins remaining.
On ordinary planets, he would be among the wealthiest people alive.
But it was nowhere near enough to purchase a giant survival base capable of withstanding attacks from a Universe Level expert.
“I need a C3 grade model.”
Luo Feng said directly.
“C3 grade models are much cheaper.”
“The one designed for three hundred million people costs around fifty one billion Black Dragon Coins.”
“What about a smaller one?”
Luo Feng asked.
“This standard model houses thirty million people and costs only 8.9 billion.”
Luodi continued smiling.
“Nothing smaller?”
“No.”
Luodi’s expression became slightly unpleasant.
Internally, he was already cursing.
Were these three deliberately wasting his time?
Luo Feng thought carefully.
The occupancy standards of these survival bases assumed ten square metres per person.
In an emergency, however, a facility rated for thirty million people could probably hold one hundred million.
“We found information saying your company offers customised survival bases.”
Luo Feng said.
“Customised?”
Luodi glanced at him.
“Custom orders are troublesome. That’s a privilege reserved for purchases exceeding ten billion Black Dragon Coins.”
He looked increasingly impatient.
“Listen, are you buying or not? If you can’t afford a C grade model, just buy a B grade one. Don’t act as though B grade models are beneath you while complaining that C grade models are too large.”
“Who talks to customers like that?”
Thunder God exploded in anger and immediately cursed in Chinese.
Unfortunately…
Luodi could not understand a word.
“Oh? Angry now?”
Luodi rubbed his large nose and sneered.
“I deal with people like you all the time in the Virtual Universe Network.”
“You can’t afford anything, yet you keep asking endless questions and wasting my time.”
“Do you think that just because this is the Virtual Universe, you can toy with me without consequences?”
Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God were stunned.
This supervisor did not resemble a businessman at all.
“What? Not happy about it?”
Luodi laughed.
“So what if I insult you?”
“If this were the real world, I’d teach the three of you a proper lesson.”
“Tch. Three paupers.”
With obvious disdain, Luodi stood up.
Whoosh.
He vanished instantly, having logged out of the Virtual Universe.
Inside the dining room, all three men were furious.
Paupers?
They had actually been called paupers.
“If I could speak the universal language, I’d curse him out properly.”
Thunder God could not help grumbling.
“What’s the point of cursing him?”
Babata, sitting on Luo Feng’s shoulder like a tiny sprite, laughed disdainfully.
“It’s simple. Become a major customer of Tieluo Company and file a complaint about his terrible service attitude.”
“Someone at his level, merely a second level supervisor in a branch office, would be dismissed immediately.”
“He’d regret it for the rest of his life.”
“A major customer?”
Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God were all startled.
“But we don’t have that kind of money.”
Thunder God pointed out.
“That’s easy.”
Babata replied casually.
“Luo Feng, don’t you own the Black Dragon Mountain X81 spacecraft?”
“That antique luxury item is exactly the kind of thing spacecraft enthusiasts dream of owning.”
“There will be plenty of collectors willing to pay enormous sums for it.”
“Sell the spacecraft?”
Luo Feng was shocked.
“In terms of performance, the spacecraft captured from that adventurer team isn’t much worse.”
“After all, it’s also a C grade spacecraft.”
“The difference is mainly in the materials.”
“That captured ship is worth several hundred million Black Dragon Coins, while your Black Dragon spacecraft is worth over ten billion.”
“Other than that, their performance is nearly identical.”
“Sell the Black Dragon spacecraft and use the other one temporarily.”
“Besides, once you gain access to the account your teacher left behind, you’ll be able to buy something even better.”
“Why care about this old ship?”
Luo Feng immediately smiled.
That was true.
Once he reached Star Level, he could simply buy another spacecraft.
“How do I sell it?”
Luo Feng asked.
“Simple. Contact Gao Sheng.”
Babata replied.
“He’s a spacecraft enthusiast.”
“Someone with his wealth and status definitely knows many other wealthy enthusiasts.”
“They’ll be willing to pay top prices.”
“Sell the Black Dragon spacecraft, build several survival bases for humanity, and make a genuine contribution to Earth.”
“And while you’re at it, you’ll become a major customer and can teach that arrogant fool a lesson.”
Luo Feng nodded.
Immediately, Babata contacted Gao Sheng while the three continued eating.
“Hello, Luo Feng.”
“It’s been quite a while since you last contacted me.”
A screen appeared before them.
On it was the familiar plump figure.
