When a decision needs to be made, hesitation only brings trouble!
A Soaring Blade Disc would not have much impact on his own strength, but once it was sold, it would be of great help to him!
“Look, there are Dreamshell people over there too.” Gao Sheng’s eyes lit up as he pointed into the distance. “Shasha, those are from the same race as you, right?”
Luo Feng followed the direction of Gao Sheng’s finger.
There stood a group of beautiful, enchanting girls with emerald hair. Some were seductive, some looked innocent and shy. Every one of them was stunningly beautiful. Beside them stood a group of handsome emerald haired men, all dressed in a heroic and attractive manner.
“xxxx…” Upon seeing Shasha, the Dreamshell slaves began speaking rapidly in a strange language.
“xxx…” The servant girl standing behind Gao Sheng burst into tears and cried out a string of words.
“You know them?” Gao Sheng asked in surprise.
Dreamshell slaves were quite well known in the slave market. The Dreamshell population numbered in the billions. He had never expected that the maid he had taken in at the restaurant would actually know those slaves.
“Yes, I know them.” Shasha nodded repeatedly. “Master, they come from the same hometown as me. We were captured by the same lord and sold to slave traders together.”
“Captured by the lord?” Luo Feng frowned.
A planetary lord not only failed to protect his people, but actually sold them?
“Yes.”
Biting her lip, Shasha spoke with hatred in her voice. “Our home was a beautiful planet. The lord was the strongest person there and ruled the entire world. Under him were two great demon kings, both Star Level experts. Star Level experts, in our homeland, were already invincible. Among ordinary members of our race, only a few ever reached Planetary Level, and they were no match for the demon kings.”
“The two demon kings led armies and captured huge numbers of young women and men, then sold them directly to slave merchants.” Tears streamed down Shasha’s face. “Generation after generation of our people are born and raised, only to be sold away. This is our fate. It cannot be changed!”
Her words sent a chill through Luo Feng’s heart.
Good heavens!
There were actually planets dedicated to breeding slaves, harvesting them one generation after another like crops!
“The slave trade is an extremely profitable business.” Gao Sheng shook his head. “A planet with tens of billions of inhabitants can produce a new generation within a few decades. Selling hundreds of millions of people means enormous wealth. Of course, this sort of thing is disgusting. If a super powerful expert ever emerges from that race, the planetary lord is finished. So this is usually only done to weaker races, and those who dare do it generally have very powerful backing.”
“Among humanity’s countless races, some weaker races are naturally feeble even after reaching adulthood. For such races, producing even a Planetary Level expert is incredibly difficult. Being treated as a slave race is perfectly normal.”
Cold.
Bone deep coldness.
The universe was brutally naked in its reality.
“If… if Earth is discovered…” Luo Feng’s heart trembled.
Earthlings were far too weak.
Even reaching the first level of Planetary Grade was incredibly difficult. A race at that level could easily be seized by powerful forces in the universe and turned into a slave race, bred generation after generation and sold endlessly.
Generation after generation, forever and ever!
Just like the Dreamshell race…
“No, no!!!” A nameless fury rose within Luo Feng.
Anger!
Unwillingness!
He would never allow it!
After arriving on Dragon Horn Star, seeing Star Level experts who could crush him with a single finger serving merely as restaurant managers, valuable slaves, or bodyguards, Luo Feng finally understood why Babata had instructed him to pretend to be a descendant of a great family, someone with a powerful background.
Because…
The universe was truly this ruthless! If you were weak, you would be trampled underfoot! Nobody would show you charity!
If your race was weak, then your entire race would be trampled upon, even enslaved!
Nobody would help you. Everything depended on yourself alone!
“A descendant of a great family? Silver Guards? Black Dragon spaceship? I’m not a descendant of any great family at all. As for being the heir of Yun Mo Planet, Yun Mo Planet has already been destroyed! I’m just an Earthling, a weak Earthling. The only reason I can gain a little respect on Dragon Horn Star is through deception. Otherwise, who would care about some insignificant Planetary Level native from a primitive planet?”
Luo Feng looked at his servant Shasha.
Then he looked at the group of Dreamshell slaves.
The female slaves were weak, but many of the male slaves had already reached Planetary Level. Clearly, the Dreamshell race was stronger than humanity on Earth.
“Dreamshell people, Earthlings…” Luo Feng murmured inwardly.
“I will never let Earth suffer the same fate as the Dreamshell race. Never!” Luo Feng swore silently in his heart.
A flame burned within him.
Seeing the Dreamshell race had completely awakened him.
Within this vast universe, humanity consisted of countless races. Powerful bloodlines such as the Manka race naturally reached Domain Lord level upon adulthood. Some weaker races were even more feeble than Earthlings. Earthlings ranked near the bottom, with most adults not even reaching the first Apprentice level. They were simply too weak.
Why were the Manka people strong?
Because their ancestors had worked tirelessly to improve the genetics of future generations.
For any race to rise, heroes must step forward. There must be pioneers willing to carve out a path.
“If there are no powerful ancestors, then I shall open that path myself!”
“If I cannot rely on others, then I can only rely on myself!”
As Luo Feng walked through the slave market with Gao Sheng and the others, he saw slaves being sold in entire racial groups. Orders for thousands or even tens of thousands could be placed with ease.
The sight made his heart grow even colder.
If one day Earthlings were sold by the thousands and tens of thousands, and among them were his compatriots, even his own descendants and relatives…
That would be a nightmare.
“Brother Gao Sheng, I have some matters to attend to. Let’s part ways here.”
Outside the slave market entrance, Luo Feng bid farewell to Gao Sheng.
“Fine! Luo Feng, if anything comes up, contact me through the Virtual Universe Network. I’ll be staying on Dragon Horn Star for the next few years.” Gao Sheng smiled warmly.
“Definitely.”
The two parties then separated.
Watching Luo Feng walk away with the two Silver Guards, Gao Sheng quietly muttered, “Is this some sect trial? Or a test arranged by a great family?”
He shook his head and left with his bodyguards.
No matter how hard he tried, he could never imagine that this seemingly well connected young man with black hair was actually just the strongest expert from a primitive planet. Even though he was the strongest on his world, he was only Planetary Level.
“I need to increase my own strength as quickly as possible, and increase Earth’s strength as well.”
Luo Feng walked through the streets of Dragon Horn City.
There were two paths to greater power.
The first was increasing the strength of his human body.
The second was increasing the strength of the Golden Horned Beast.
“The Golden Horned Beast is my greatest combat power,” Luo Feng thought. “But for it to reach Universe Level within a year or two would require more money than even selling the Soaring Blade Disc could provide. That leaves only one option.”
“I must rapidly raise my human body’s strength to Star Level.”
“Then I’ll go to the Universe Galaxy Bank and unlock the first account left behind by my teacher.”
“Using the money in that account, I’ll quickly push the Golden Horned Beast to Universe Level.”
Luo Feng easily settled on his plan.
Considering the immense power of the master of Yun Mo Planet, even a single hair from his body would be worth more than a Domain Lord from Dragon Horn Star. Surely the wealth in that first account would not disappoint him.
“Babata, if I want to sell the Soaring Blade Disc, where should I go?” Luo Feng asked.
“You’re really going to sell it?” Babata could not help asking.
“Yes!”
Luo Feng was absolutely determined.
If not for the fact that the corpse and weapons of an Immortal expert, the fragment of Red Mixed Copper Essence, the even more valuable Eternal Love crystal, and other treasures would get him killed the moment he revealed them, why would Luo Feng have to struggle so hard?
The Red Mixed Copper Essence fragment and Eternal Love alone would drive Domain Lords mad with greed.
The Yun Mo Planet spaceship and similar treasures would drive even Immortal experts insane.
Luo Feng simply dared not reveal them.
“If you’re selling it, go back to that Treasure Shop,” Babata said.
“The Treasure Shop?” Luo Feng was surprised.
“Yes. Their supply channels are weaker than those of specialised spirit weapon stores, so they’ll offer you a higher price,” Babata explained.
…
Luo Feng immediately headed for the Treasure Shop.
A short while later.
“Hm? It’s that customer from before. He’s come back a second time, so he must be ready to buy something.”
The shop assistant spotted Luo Feng and hurried over enthusiastically.
“Honoured sir, how may I assist you?” the assistant asked with a smile.
“I want to sell a spirit weapon.”
The assistant’s expression changed instantly.
Luo Feng continued, “A third tier one.”
“Pl… please wait a moment.”
The assistant’s voice trembled slightly.
Spirit weapons were luxury items to begin with.
Each additional tier multiplied their value enormously.
Even an ordinary third tier spirit weapon was worth billions, while top quality third tier weapons could reach hundreds of billions.
“Sir, please come inside.”
The assistant quickly returned and respectfully led Luo Feng into a reception room.
Inside the room sat an elderly man with red and blue markings across his face, standing about two point six metres tall. He rose with a smile and bowed slightly.
“Honoured guest, I hear you wish to sell a third tier spirit weapon?”
This was a sixth level Star Level expert, an existence who would be invincible on most ordinary planets.
“That’s right.” Luo Feng nodded.
“May I ask which spirit weapon it is?” the old man asked.
With a flick of his hand, Luo Feng revealed the Soaring Blade Disc.
The old man’s eyes immediately brightened.
“This is a Soaring Blade Disc. In the Black Dragon Mountain Empire, the standard retail price at spirit weapon stores is twenty one billion Black Dragon Coins,” Luo Feng said.
Creating a mature spirit weapon design inevitably led to imitation.
Ordinary third tier spirit weapons generally required World Lords to reproduce or manufacture, and often had originally been created by Immortal experts.
The weapon trade had always been an immensely profitable industry.
For example, the Sky Shuttle had been created by Hu Yanbo, while the Soaring Blade Disc had not.
The Sky Shuttle was relatively rare throughout the universe.
The Soaring Blade Disc, however, was a fairly common third tier spirit weapon. The Treasure Shop certainly possessed its operating manuals.
“Beep!”
A green scanning light enveloped the Soaring Blade Disc.
“Hm, standard model, good materials, and completely undamaged.”
The old man smiled at Luo Feng.
“I can offer one hundred and sixty billion Black Dragon Coins.”
“One hundred and eighty billion. Not a coin less.” Luo Feng shook his head.
Babata had told him that one hundred and eighty billion was the correct figure.
“One hundred and eighty billion Black Dragon Coins? That’s…”
The old man studied Luo Feng carefully.
This young man clearly understood the profit margins of the trade.
If they wanted stock, obtaining a spirit weapon was not easy. Orders required waiting, since only World Lords could manufacture or reproduce them. Even then, acquiring a Soaring Blade Disc would cost them more than one hundred and eighty billion.
“Deal!”
The old man looked at Luo Feng.
At last, a faint smile appeared on Luo Feng’s face.
“Then let’s draft the contract.”
