“At official exchange locations and similar places, Ganwu Coins can be exchanged for Black Dragon Coins, and Black Dragon Coins can be exchanged for Silver Blue Coins,” Babata explained. “However, the reverse isn’t possible. Silver Blue Coins cannot officially be exchanged for Black Dragon Coins, and Black Dragon Coins cannot officially be exchanged for Ganwu Coins.”
Luo Feng nodded slightly.
He understood the principle.
If Earth joined the greater human civilisation of the universe, many high ranking Earth officials would happily exchange cosmic currency for local money. But taking US dollars or Chinese currency and trying to exchange them for cosmic currency? Why would any cosmic nation agree?
“Of course, reverse exchanges can be made on the black market,” Babata added.
As they spoke, the Black Dragon spacecraft accelerated towards Qiu Long Star.
Standing inside the control room, Luo Feng watched the virtual external view. The spacecraft was rapidly approaching Qiu Long Star and was already nearing the atmosphere.
The planet’s atmosphere was extremely unusual. Even with the naked eye, he could clearly see colourful streams of gaseous clouds flowing across it, making the entire planet appear dazzlingly beautiful from space.
Beep!
“Tractor signal received,” Babata said. “Luo Feng, the spacecraft will follow the tractor signal to the planetary docking port.”
Luo Feng nodded.
Babata had already explained that upon arriving at a planet, spacecraft were absolutely forbidden from flying around freely. They had to proceed to designated docking ports.
Of course, if one was as powerful as the Master of Yunmo Planet, one could ignore such restrictions.
On a high level planet like Qiu Long Star, only Domain Lords could disregard tractor signals and fly directly into the planet.
Even so, Domain Lords usually showed Qiu Long Star some respect.
After all…
The owner of Qiu Long Star was a Domain Lord himself.
…
The Black Dragon spacecraft pierced through the atmosphere.
Through the virtual external display, Luo Feng immediately saw an enormous silver city below.
It was a vast docking port.
Countless spacecraft filled the area, packed so densely that they resembled a sea.
Some were only a dozen or several dozen metres long.
The larger ones, usually transport vessels, stretched over ten thousand metres in length.
“Signal received. We’re heading to the C Class Zone,” Babata announced from the control screen.
“The A Class Zone is for ordinary spacecraft and warships. The B Class Zone is for B Class vessels. The C Class Zone is for C Class spacecraft and warships. Above that is the D Class Zone.”
Babata continued his explanation.
The enormous docking port was divided into several sectors.
Every spacecraft in the C Class Zone was incredibly expensive.
Whoosh.
The Black Dragon spacecraft descended slowly before finally landing.
The hatch opened.
“This planet’s gravity is roughly three times stronger than Earth’s.”
Luo Feng flew out of the hatch and immediately felt the difference.
“Hm?”
He turned his head.
A green skinned giant, around 2.8 metres tall and wearing a grey uniform, flew towards him.
The man had two curved horns protruding from his head.
Landing before Luo Feng, he smiled politely and spoke fluent Universal Language.
“Honoured sir, welcome to Qiu Long Star. Your Black Dragon Mountain X81 spacecraft has an annual docking fee of 600 Black Dragon Coins. Any period under one year is still charged at the full annual rate. This is your docking card.”
With both hands, he presented a silver translucent card marked with a large C.
“Luo Feng, remember what I told you before,” Babata reminded him.
Babata had carefully instructed Luo Feng on how to handle various situations he might encounter on Qiu Long Star.
“I remember.”
Luo Feng smiled.
With a flip of his hand, a coin appeared in his palm.
He casually tossed it over.
“A Ganwu Coin!”
The green skinned man’s eyes immediately lit up.
According to official Black Dragon Mountain Empire exchange rates, one Ganwu Coin could be exchanged for one thousand Black Dragon Coins.
However, one thousand Black Dragon Coins could not be exchanged back into a Ganwu Coin.
Through black market channels, it was possible, but it usually required well over a thousand Black Dragon Coins, sometimes close to two thousand.
Ordinary citizens did not even know where such black markets existed.
Ganwu Coins were symbols of status.
“He arrived in an X81 luxury spacecraft and pays with Ganwu Coins. Damn, his background must be enormous.”
The green skinned giant felt overwhelming envy.
He himself was a Planetary Level Ninth Stage warrior.
On Qiu Long Star, he was merely an ordinary citizen.
If he could break through to Stellar Level, his social status would rise dramatically.
Yet even Stellar Level experts would feel inferior when facing someone who travelled in a pure metal C5 luxury spacecraft and casually threw around Ganwu Coins.
There was no need to ask.
This was proof of a powerful family and a powerful background.
“Keep the change.”
Luo Feng spoke casually.
“Thank you, sir.”
The green skinned giant became even more respectful.
A member of a great family like this could easily command tens of thousands of Planetary Level Ninth Stage subordinates.
At that moment…
A spacecraft painted in an unusual black and white pattern landed less than a hundred metres away.
Another grey uniformed employee flew over.
The hatch had already opened during descent.
A chubby young man with black hair flew out first.
Two purple markings ran across his face.
His eyes were naturally narrowed, giving him an adorable appearance.
His height was about the same as Luo Feng’s.
“Wow!”
The fat youth shot out excitedly.
Four gorilla like bodyguards immediately followed behind him.
“The four behind him include three Stellar Level Third Stage warriors and one Stellar Level Eighth Stage warrior. The fat youth himself is Planetary Level Third Stage.”
Babata immediately informed Luo Feng.
Luo Feng was secretly shocked.
The fat youth actually had four Stellar Level bodyguards.
The comparison was truly depressing.
Only after arriving on a planet even more prosperous and powerful than the Silver Blue Empire’s capital did Luo Feng finally witness what a true noble family’s heir looked like.
“Damn, damn, damn!”
The fat youth rushed over to the Black Dragon spacecraft and stroked its hull.
His eyes glowed.
“Bloody hell, this is a model from over a million years ago. A Black Dragon Mountain X81! Anyone who owned one of these is long dead! And it’s made entirely from pure Wuyi metal, an absolute luxury item. I can’t believe I’m seeing one today!”
“Hey, brother!”
The fat youth suddenly appeared before Luo Feng with a broad grin.
“When you eventually get tired of this X81, would you sell it to me? Give me ten years and I’ll be able to afford it.”
“Oh, let me introduce myself first. My name is Gao Sheng Weidi. Just call me Gao Sheng.”
He spoke fluent Universal Language.
“Gao Sheng, this Black Dragon spacecraft underwent extensive modifications and repairs before it was fully restored. I’m not willing to sell it yet.”
Following Babata’s earlier instructions, Luo Feng replied casually.
“That’s true. A model that’s over a million years old would have countless worn out components. Repairing it wouldn’t be much easier than buying a new ship. Brother, you’re clearly a fellow enthusiast.”
Gao Sheng praised him enthusiastically.
“A pure metal luxury item like this really gives you face when you fly it around.”
Luo Feng smiled.
In reality, the Black Dragon spacecraft had spent nearly a million years stored inside the wreckage of the mothership on the ocean floor and had barely been used, so deterioration was minimal.
“Brother, you still haven’t introduced yourself.”
The fat youth grinned.
“My name is Luo Feng.”
Luo Feng smiled.
“Brother Luo Feng is travelling alone? No bodyguards? It’s still several thousand kilometres from here to Qiu Long City. On Qiu Long Star, only cities are protected. Outside the cities, there is no protection. We might encounter bandits on the way.”
Luo Feng smiled.
Whoosh!
Two Silver Guards wearing black clothing suddenly appeared beside him.
“Damn, Silver Guards?”
Gao Sheng immediately nodded.
“Two Silver Guards are perfect. One protects you while the other restrains the enemy. Once enlarged, a Silver Guard can easily wrap around several hundred people. After the enemy breaks free, the second Silver Guard can take over. Alternating between the two makes you incredibly safe.”
Luo Feng simply smiled.
Back then, Silver Guards had successfully restrained a gigantic monster like the Golden Horned Beast.
Restraining humans was naturally effortless.
“Brother Luo Feng, if you don’t mind, let’s travel together. With my four bodyguards around, nobody will dare cause trouble.”
Gao Sheng grinned.
“Agree to it. Travelling with him will save you a lot of trouble,” Babata advised.
“Let’s go together.”
Luo Feng nodded with a smile.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Luo Feng and Gao Sheng rose into the sky.
The four bodyguards followed behind them.
At the same time, armour appeared around Gao Sheng and his four bodyguards.
Luo Feng’s Mo Yun Armour also materialised around him.
…
The six of them flew through the air together.
“Luo Feng, how much did that Black Dragon spacecraft cost?”
Gao Sheng could not help asking.
As a spacecraft enthusiast, he was clearly obsessed with it.
“Babata?” Luo Feng called mentally.
He had no idea what answer to give.
“Tell him it cost 9 billion Black Dragon Coins to purchase and another 2 billion to modify and repair.”
Babata replied.
“That much?”
Luo Feng was stunned internally.
According to official exchange rates, one Black Dragon Coin equalled one thousand Silver Blue Coins.
That meant the spacecraft was worth 9 trillion Silver Blue Coins.
“How is that expensive? It’s made from pure Wuyi metal. The entire spacecraft weighs about two million tonnes. Each tonne of Wuyi metal is worth 3,000 Black Dragon Coins, or roughly 3 million Silver Blue Coins. The raw materials alone are worth 6 trillion Silver Blue Coins.”
Babata explained.
“Luo Feng, stop judging the universe through Earth’s standards. One tonne of Wuyi metal costs 3,000 Black Dragon Coins. One tonne of B Class Black Iron Essence costs only 9 Black Dragon Coins. A Class Black Iron is even cheaper.”
Luo Feng suddenly understood.
Indeed.
A tonne of Black Iron Essence only cost 9 coins.
A tonne of Wuyi metal cost 3,000.
It really was not unreasonable.
“And that’s pure metal. If it were made from alloy, it would be much cheaper. Alloys are harder and perform better. A C5 spacecraft built from alloy would cost only a tenth as much, perhaps even less. That’s why building a spacecraft from pure metal is considered a luxury. It’s like making a car entirely out of gold on Earth.”
Luo Feng sighed inwardly.
No wonder Gao Sheng had been so shocked.
A pure metal spacecraft really was a luxury item.
Without enormous wealth, nobody could afford such a hobby.
“This Black Dragon spacecraft cost me 9 billion Black Dragon Coins, and the modifications cost another 2 billion.”
Luo Feng repeated.
“Ooh.”
Gao Sheng nodded repeatedly.
“Brother, you actually got a bargain. These old models are almost impossible to find nowadays. In another ten years, my father promised to transfer a planet into my name. That planet has 11 billion inhabitants. Based on estimates, each person earns me about 100 Carlo Coins per year, which equals roughly 0.06 Black Dragon Coins. That gives me annual income exceeding 600 million Black Dragon Coins. With a planet like that as collateral, borrowing 20 billion Black Dragon Coins would be easy.”
Luo Feng smiled.
Inside, however, he was completely shocked.
A planet?
Transferred into his name?
With 11 billion people generating income for him?
Luo Feng finally understood the difference between Earth’s super rich and the universe’s super rich.
On Earth, people measured wealth by how many properties one owned.
In the universe, true tycoons measured wealth by how many planets they owned.
A genuine magnate.
At the same time, Luo Feng finally understood just how powerful the original owner of the Black Dragon spacecraft had been.
Yet despite that background, his teacher, the Master of Yunmo Planet, had annihilated the entire interstellar fleet with a single move.
That man had died as well.
The thousand light year star region around Earth had been completely occupied by Luo Feng’s teacher.
Even the powerful force backing that unfortunate man clearly dared not provoke an Immortal existence.
And so he had simply died in silence.
