The control console, seats, and floor of the control room all vanished.

The mysterious and endless starry sky stretched infinitely. Occasionally there were planets in the distance, along with asteroids and drifting cosmic dust.
“Beautiful.”

“It is beautiful, but after seeing it enough times, you’ll find it dull and cold,” Babata replied.
“Set the simulation to 10%.”

The surrounding starry sky became much fainter, like a translucent illusion. Earth and the Sun could still be seen behind him, but they appeared vague and dim. Meanwhile, the floor, chairs, control console, and lighting of the control room reappeared.
