PDE Chapter 163

The night sky was deep black, studded with countless stars. The moon hung as a thin crescent, casting only faint silver light. A cool breeze brushed against the skin. Ye Chu caught Bai Xuan as she tried to slip away and pulled her down onto the large rocking chair in the courtyard.

This residence was quite nice. Ye Chu had made no special requests except for one: a big rocking chair placed in the courtyard. He had always been particularly fond of rocking chairs. They reminded him of infancy, of being gently swayed into sleep.

Ye Chu wrapped his arm around Bai Xuan’s slender waist and settled her beside him on the rocking chair. Her figure was perfectly curved, full and voluptuous, utterly captivating.

“Sister Bai Xuan, you are not planning to sleep so early, are you? Stay with me for a while?” Ye Chu gazed at her with burning eyes. Bai Xuan possessed a unique charm of her own. Perhaps she lacked Ji Die’s cold allure, Ruoshui’s transcendent grace, or Tan Miaotong’s sweet tenderness.

Yet on Bai Xuan there was a refined, mature allure that no other woman could match.

Bai Xuan was enchanting. Ye Chu had known many women, yet in her presence his heart still raced uncontrollably.

Bai Xuan knew exactly what Ye Chu had in mind. Her expression turned shy. She suddenly regretted the words she had spoken earlier in the day.

“I will only talk with you. No funny business!” Bai Xuan said, unsure who she was trying to convince. Yet after speaking, she felt the panic in her heart ease slightly.

“Of course!” Ye Chu looked at her with perfect innocence, his eyes clear. “It has been so long since I sat quietly alone with Sister Bai Xuan. Today we finally got rid of that annoying little rascal Yaoyao. Now we can have a peaceful, wonderful night.”

“Pfft…” Bai Xuan could not help laughing. To trick Yaoyao into leaving, Ye Chu had spun countless wild lies until the girl finally agreed to go with Huang Lin to the Huang residence.

Of course, the lie he told Huang Lin was even more ridiculous. Ye Chu had claimed that Pang Shao had fallen for her and was planning a grand move tonight. Several cartloads of flowers were supposedly already prepared and would arrive at the residence under cover of darkness.

Huang Lin had been completely fooled. Terrified that Pang Shao might actually do something, she hurried back to the Huang residence with Yaoyao after dinner, thinking that in her family home, Pang Shao would not dare act recklessly.

Bai Xuan suddenly felt that having such a troublesome friend was rather pitiful for Pang Shao. He had been neatly tricked without even realising it.

Ye Chu tightened his arm. Bai Xuan felt her full, soft chest pressed uncomfortably against him. She wanted to struggle free, but when she lifted her eyes and met Ye Chu’s clear gaze, her movement paused.

She grew quiet and leaned against him. In the slightly chilly night, the closeness felt unusually warm and comforting. Moonlight and starlight covered them like a layer of silver.

Ye Chu gazed at the beautiful, mature face before him. She looked into his eyes with infinite gentleness. The burning desire in Ye Chu’s heart unexpectedly calmed.

Just like this, holding Bai Xuan under the starry sky with the crescent moon hanging above, feeling the cool breeze, the softest part of his heart filled with an indescribable emotion. The heart that had long been immersed in romance, pleasure, and indulgence suddenly rippled with waves.

This feeling was something few could evoke in him. Ye Chu reached out, adjusted Bai Xuan’s position so she could lean more comfortably, inhaled the faint fragrance from her body, and felt his heart overflowing. Unable to resist, he gently pressed a kiss to her exquisite cheek.
