The dim sky hung overhead, and the blood of monsters on the streets had formed streams that flowed towards the landed flying saucer aircraft under the howling cold wind. This dark blue saucer shaped aircraft instantly attracted the attention of every martial artist present. The last time Luo Feng had seen a flying combat aircraft was during the rat tide.
“Why is a flying combat aircraft here? It even landed right in front of us. Who is it looking for?” Luo Feng wondered.
The surrounding martial artists began discussing it in low voices.
“A flying combat aircraft?”
“Does it belong to the military district, or is it a War God’s personal aircraft?”
The Fire Hammer Squad, North River Squad, and the rescued Snow Fox Squad, more than a dozen martial artists in total, all stared at the aircraft in confusion. Under normal circumstances, a martial artist might go an entire year in the wilderness without seeing a flying combat aircraft overhead, let alone one landing directly in front of them.
Whoosh!
The cabin door opened.
Luo Feng looked carefully and saw two figures jump out one after another.
Both wore black combat uniforms and walked over in single file.
The man behind was none other than Zhuge Tao, one of the four giants of the Extreme Dojo in Jiangnan Base City.
Zhuge Tao even smiled and nodded slightly towards Luo Feng.
“Supervisor Zhuge.”
“Supervisor.”
Luo Feng, the members of the Fire Hammer Squad, and the rescued Snow Fox Squad members all greeted him respectfully.
The North River Squad, however, remained silent, as they belonged to the Thunderbolt Dojo.
However, all three squads found themselves puzzled.
A man as important as Zhuge Tao, one of the four giants of the Jiangnan Base City Extreme Dojo, was acting almost like an attendant, following behind a middle aged man.
Who exactly was this man?
“Luo Feng, Gao Feng, and Tao Ke, let me introduce someone.”
Smiling, Zhuge Tao stood beside the middle aged man.
“This is Mr Yang, a special envoy from our Extreme Dojo’s global headquarters. Mr Yang is a War God level expert.”
The members of the Fire Hammer Squad and Tao Ke’s Snow Fox Squad were stunned.
“Mr Yang.”
Everyone greeted him respectfully.
“Mm.”
War God Yang merely nodded. He did not waste words on the others. His gaze swept across the crowd before quickly settling on Luo Feng alone.
This immediately confused everyone present.
Why was this special envoy from the global headquarters staring at Luo Feng?
Yang Hui had already seen photographs of Luo Feng long ago.
“Luo Feng,” Yang Hui spoke.
“Mr Yang.”
Luo Feng immediately responded, though he was extremely puzzled.
Beside him, Zhuge Tao smiled.
“Luo Feng, Mr Yang personally flew from our global headquarters to Jiangnan Base City because of you. He has put in considerable effort on your behalf. You should thank him properly.”
Indeed, although Yang Hui possessed the arrogance common among War Gods, he genuinely cared about talented younger generations.
Had Yang Hui not applied to the Inspector for Luo Feng to enter the Elite Training Camp, Luo Feng would not even have had the opportunity to take the B Level Assessment.
“No need to thank me. Luo Feng earned this opportunity through his own efforts.”
Yang Hui smiled faintly.
Luo Feng was completely bewildered.
What exactly were Yang Hui and Zhuge Tao talking about?
Why could he not understand any of it?
“Luo Feng, come on, get on the aircraft first.”
Zhuge Tao urged him before turning towards the Fire Hammer Squad.
“Gao Feng, your squad is to suspend all wilderness operations for now and return to the base city. Starting today, Luo Feng will no longer be joining your squad. Make your preparations.”
What?
Both Luo Feng and the Fire Hammer Squad members were shocked.
“Supervisor, what’s going on?” Luo Feng asked immediately.
“I’ll explain once we’re back in the base city.”
Zhuge Tao glanced around. There was no need to keep it secret, but he did not want to discuss it in front of so many people.
Under the gaze of the crowd, Luo Feng boarded the aircraft with Zhuge Tao and Yang Hui.
The saucer shaped aircraft quickly rose into the sky before turning into a streak of dark blue light and disappearing into the distant horizon.
The expressions of Gao Feng, Chen Gu, Wei Tie, and Wei Qing were all complicated.
They had all realised something.
The Fire Hammer Squad was probably going to disband.
Earlier, Zhuge Tao had clearly stated that Luo Feng would no longer be joining them.
Moreover, a War God and a chief supervisor had personally flown into the wilderness to fetch Luo Feng.
This clearly involved something major.
“Luo Feng is probably being sent to the global headquarters for special training,” Snow Fox captain Tao Ke said.
“Very likely.”
“With his strength, he certainly qualifies for a special training contract.”
“Don’t talk nonsense. Special training at headquarters isn’t important enough for a War God and a supervisor to personally come to the wilderness.”
North River Squad captain Kang Wei shook his head.
“In our Thunderbolt Dojo, the entire base city receives two or three special training places every year. The supervisor only needs to submit an application, and an envoy comes to verify it. Why would a War God envoy personally travel to the wilderness?”
He paused.
“Unless it’s the legendary… War God Preparatory Camp!”
“War God Preparatory Camp?”
Guo Hai’s breathing quickened and his expression changed.
The world’s number one training camp was officially called the Elite Training Camp, but martial artists referred to it as the War God Preparatory Camp.
Why?
Because ninety percent of those who entered eventually became War Gods.
The remaining ten percent failed only because of disability, death, or similar circumstances.
“This Luo Feng is entering the War God Preparatory Camp?”
Guo Hai clenched his fists involuntarily.
Comparison between rivals came naturally.
“The entire Jiangnan Base City only sends one person there every few years. Him? Impossible.”
Guo Hai’s expression darkened.
Whoosh!
The dark blue saucer aircraft became a streak of light and quickly reached the skies above Jiangnan Base City before gradually descending.
“Luo Feng, we’ve arrived at the base city. Get ready to disembark,” Zhuge Tao said.
“So fast.”
Luo Feng looked at the aircraft.
Most of its specifications had never been made public.
Judging from what he had seen earlier, the aircraft was capable of travelling at several times the speed of sound.
Covering over a thousand metres per second was certainly no problem.
Combined with its almost perfectly straight high altitude route, it had travelled from City 023 to Jiangnan Base City in just a few minutes.
Whoosh.
The cabin door opened automatically.
Zhuge Tao, Luo Feng, and Yang Hui jumped out one after another.
The aircraft had landed on the rooftop platform of the Extreme Headquarters building.
…
The thirty first floor of the Extreme Headquarters building housed a vast martial arts hall.
The entire hall gleamed silver white.
In its centre sat a barefoot man in a white training uniform, cross legged in meditation.
Ding!
The lift doors opened.
Following Zhuge Tao and Yang Hui inside, Luo Feng’s attention was immediately drawn to the man.
He could sense invisible energy fluctuations surrounding him.
“His hands are huge.”
At a glance, Luo Feng noticed that each hand was as large as a fan, nearly twice the size of an ordinary person’s.
“You’ve arrived?”
The man in white stood up and smiled at Luo Feng.
“So you’re Luo Feng. Ah, Old Yang, you’re planning to conduct the B Level Assessment here in Jiangnan Base City?”
Yang Hui hesitated slightly.
The man in white continued.
“After you went looking for Luo Feng, I thought about it carefully. Applying for a B Level Assessment in the base city is troublesome. Besides, whether Luo Feng passes or fails, he’s going to the global headquarters anyway. Wouldn’t it be simpler to conduct the assessment there?”
“You make a good point.”
Yang Hui laughed.
“That’s true. If he succeeds, he’ll enter the Elite Training Camp. If he fails, he’ll enter the Basic Training Camp. Either way, he’s heading to headquarters.”
No matter what happened, Luo Feng’s qualifications guaranteed entry into the Basic Training Camp.
There was absolutely no issue there.
Listening to their conversation, Luo Feng grew increasingly confused.
What exactly was this B Level Assessment they kept mentioning?
“Luo Feng, this is the President of our Jiangnan Base City Extreme Headquarters,” Zhuge Tao explained quietly.
Luo Feng immediately understood.
So it was him.
He quickly recalled information he had seen online.
Zhou Zhengyong.
A War God level expert.
Known as Iron Hands.
President of the Jiangnan Base City Extreme Headquarters.
After chatting briefly, Zhou Zhengyong and Yang Hui finally turned their attention to Luo Feng.
“Luo Feng, our Extreme Dojo global headquarters has two training camps, the Basic Training Camp and the Elite Training Camp. You know about them, right?” Yang Hui asked.
“I don’t.”
Luo Feng shook his head.
Zhou Zhengyong laughed.
“You’ve definitely heard of the special training contract.”
Luo Feng nodded.
The Thunderbolt Dojo had once tried recruiting him with precisely such a contract.
“The Basic Training Camp gathers talented individuals from all over the world and provides them with the best training possible.”
“The Elite Training Camp is the number one training camp on Earth. It recruits only the most gifted among geniuses, true monsters among students.”
Zhou Zhengyong looked at Luo Feng.
“Likewise, the Elite Training Camp possesses equally monstrous teaching resources. Every instructor is at least a War God. There are even Inspectors, and above them, Patrol Envoys who surpass War Gods. The world’s strongest expert, Hong, personally visits the training camp. Even the world’s second strongest expert, Thunder God, is invited there.”
Luo Feng was stunned.
The Elite Training Camp?
Filled entirely with monsters?
Teachers who were all War Gods or stronger?
Even Hong and Thunder God visited?
“Not only does it have the best teachers, but you’ll also gain access to the most advanced equipment on Earth. Some of it was excavated from ancient civilisation ruins. You will receive the most perfect education imaginable.”
Zhou Zhengyong stared at Luo Feng, unable to conceal his excitement.
Beside him, Yang Hui sighed.
“The world’s most talented students gathered together, the finest teachers assembled in one place, the best equipment available, every possible advantage combined. That is the world’s number one training camp. As long as they don’t die, nearly every student becomes a War God.”
Luo Feng blinked twice.
“Of course, every place in the Elite Training Camp is priceless. Even the wealthiest conglomerates and families, with all their influence and connections, would struggle to buy a single place even for tens of billions.”
Yang Hui looked directly at Luo Feng.
“Luo Feng, you now have an opportunity to enter the world’s number one training camp. There is only one condition.”
“You must pass the B Level Assessment.”
