PDE Chapter 228

As this body crashed down onto him, Ye Chu let out a muffled groan of pain. But on reflex he reached out and wrapped his arms around it. The touch was soft and silky smooth, causing him to instinctively give it a squeeze.

Ji Die had been pulled down along with him and hit the ground without feeling any pain. But very soon she realised she was being held by a pair of hands. A firm grip landed on her pert buttocks, squeezing with noticeable force.

She could feel warm breath spraying across her face, which startled her. Unable to help herself, she turned her head to look at the person beneath her. With that turn, their already closely pressed bodies came even tighter together. Ji Die’s alluring red lips slid across Ye Chu’s face, finally brushing against his lips.

The sensation of warmth, softness, and delicate fragrance made Ye Chu feel as though an electric current was coursing through his body. Combined with the alluring scent flooding his nose, his mind went completely blank in an instant. His eyes widened as he stared ahead. Right in front of him was a pair of clear, dust-free eyes that shone like bright pearls.

Their gazes locked, and for a brief moment both fell into a daze. Warmth spread through their bodies. They could each feel the other’s breath. The soft, tender sensation lingered on their lips. The palm on her buttocks pressed firmly!

The man-on-top, woman-below position was extremely suggestive. In this silent space, only the sound of their breathing remained.

After a short period of absent-mindedness, Ji Die finally came back to her senses. Her stunningly beautiful face instantly regained its cold elegance. She flipped up from Ye Chu’s body. At some point a long sword had appeared in her hand. The blade now rested against Ye Chu’s throat.

Seeing that the woman was about to thrust the sword down, Ye Chu quickly rolled aside to dodge the strike and shouted, “If you don’t want to die, you’d better not touch me!”

Ji Die’s sword, which had been poised for a horizontal thrust, paused. Her gaze fell on Ye Chu.

Ye Chu inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. He thought to himself that if he had not reacted quickly enough, he might have died under her sword today. “The young man who opened the stone door just now is my senior brother. You’ve seen how mysterious he is. If you dare kill me here, you won’t get away easily either. And you’d better think carefully about who took advantage of whom just now.”

Ji Die recalled the suggestive scene from moments ago. Her exquisitely beautiful face grew even colder. “If you don’t want to die, shut your mouth!”

Ye Chu shrugged nonchalantly and said, “You and I are old acquaintances after all. What you just did, I won’t hold against you. Consider it repayment for what I did back then.”

Ji Die stared at Ye Chu and said, “What did you do back then? Do you really think a powerless weakling like you could pose any threat to me? I only treated it as a farce.”

When Ye Chu heard those words, he felt like digging a hole and burying himself in it. It was far too humiliating. He had tried to force himself on a woman, yet she dismissed it as an insignificant joke. What face did a man have left after being reduced to this?

Ye Chu even had the urge to drag his past life’s self out for a whipping. This woman was openly scorning his inadequacy.

Seeing Ji Die’s gaze turn away to somewhere else, Ye Chu took a deep breath. An uncle could endure, but an auntie could not! As a man… he endured it!

He took another deep breath. He could still smell the lingering fragrance in the space, like the faint scent of plum blossoms. Thinking back to the soft warmth of their lips touching, Ye Chu could not help but feel a stir in his heart. Though this woman had cold eyes, he had to admit her body was perfect, extremely captivating.

“Dare I ask the Supreme Venerable: am I to be a servant?”

Ji Die walked to a certain spot and spoke those words with her red lips.

Ye Chu was stunned. He turned to look. In this not-very-large space, ahead was engraved a line of text. The characters were written in a bold, vigorous style, full of sword qi and unyielding questioning. The intent behind them was astonishing, shocking to the soul. With just those few words, Ye Chu felt an overwhelming sense of domineering power mixed with helpless despair.

“The ancestor of the Ye family!” Ji Die could not help exclaiming. Her gaze passed through those words to what lay behind them. Beyond the large characters was a crystal coffin. The crystal coffin was sealed in ice, radiating a faint chill.

But when Ye Chu looked at the coffin that resembled solid ice stone, he knew it was no ordinary item. Otherwise it could never have entombed a powerhouse like the Ye family ancestor.

Through the crystal coffin Ye Chu could see a middle-aged man. The man was handsome in appearance and lay quietly inside. He wore a set of radiant armour. Though Ye Chu could not sense the armour’s aura through the crystal coffin, it was clearly no common artefact.

Ji Die respectfully bowed to the Ye family ancestor. Ye Chu naturally walked forward and did the same. He occupied Ye Chu’s body, so he could also be considered a descendant.

“This unworthy descendant Ji Die pays respects to the ancestor!” As Ji Die spoke, the blood qi in her body surged, sending waves of sound through the space.

At the same time as Ji Die’s bloodline trembled, the crystal coffin suddenly erupted with dazzling light. The radiance shone out. The originally dark and narrow space instantly transformed into something brilliant and colourful. An intent filled the air. Though this intent did not oppress Ye Chu, he still felt immense pressure.

Ye Chu felt his own blood flow accelerate. But Ji Die’s blood boiled madly, surging with roaring sounds.

Ye Chu was not surprised by this. Ji Die was a direct-line descendant of the Ye family. Though she was the daughter of the current family head’s younger sister and thus Ji Jingyun’s cousin, not from the main male line, her bloodline was still far thicker than Ye Chu’s.

The Ye family in Yao City carried the bloodline of the Ye family ancestor and was a branch of the family. But after so many years, very little of the bloodline remained pure.

Ye Chu watched as Ji Die frantically absorbed the brilliant light and could not help feeling envious. With the advantage of her bloodline, Ji Die’s strength was probably going to surge this time.

Although Ye Chu could also absorb some of it, for someone who had already fought at Yong Peak, the effect was no longer significant. After all, his own intent was already far stronger than the seventh layer of the Innate Realm.

Ye Chu surveyed the space. Mysterious patterns covered every inch of it. Apart from that, there was nothing else.

Ye Chu had originally thought that finding the Ye family ancestor would give him a chance to obtain a method to counter the Supreme Venerable’s intent. But looking at those mysterious yet impenetrable patterns, Ye Chu frowned. This was not what he needed.

Ye Chu walked forward, wanting to leave this place. But after only a few steps he was shaken back by the light, his blood qi churning.

Ye Chu drove his power and tried to force his way out, but each time he was repelled. This made his expression turn extremely ugly. At this moment he had no idea how Ou Yi was doing. Judging from that fellow’s state, he had clearly gone mad. Who knew what he might do? Ye Chu needed to go and stop him.

Moreover, Ye Chu had come here for a method to suppress the Supreme Venerable’s intent. He had no intention of being trapped inside.

“Get out of my way!” Ye Chu roared. He smashed a fierce punch forward against the light. It had no effect at all. Instead the patterns began to shift, moving like living things in unpredictable ways.

Ye Chu paused in surprise. He clearly felt that as these patterns changed, his primal spirit was also stirred.
